I reviewed various battery options and selected this one based upon the smallest number of poor reviews working o the fact that more people are likely to complain if the product is poor than rate if it is good, especially as phone usage is so key. Product was in a fairly small box but packaged well. The tools supplied were of appropriate quality to do the job so no complaints there. I reviewed the instructions which were not too bad to be honest, though as with most people, I found a guide on YouTube which I would highly recommend. I have followed the instructions to the wire, charging the phone to 100% and then for at least an additional 2 hours. At the moment I am using the phone, draining the battery down until the phone switches off and then I need to charge again to 100% to calibrate the battery. After that all should be ok. At the moment all seems very good as it is taking a lot of effort to drain the battery. I will do an update in 3-6 months to see how the battery is doing, but at the moment all looks very good. The actual job of replacing the battery is a bit fiddly so find a quiet place with a bit of room and good light and something to put the screws in as you dis-assembly as they are very small and could easily get lost. Putting the iphone back together was fairly straight forward, only tricky bit is attaching the cables, if you decide to remove the in the first place.

[Update: a few months later and still going strong. No perceivable degradation in performance.] Before fitting this my aged iPhone 6 was typically on about 20%-0% battery life by the end of the day. After fitting this battery it’s typically on 80%. Which is an amazing difference. Also the phone no longer seems to get insanely hot when it’s working hard or the signal is bad. This was all a nice surprise as the iPhone battery stats before changing the battery said it was operating at 86% capacity. I assumed the bad battery life was from using latest iOS versions. But it was the battery all along. The only problem is fitting the battery - more precisely the removal of the existing one. It is nowhere near as easy as all the YouTube videos make out. You may see someone lightly warming it with a heatgun then gently pulling the adhesive off (using the black tabs) and gently lifting the battery out. It’s all a sham! You can’t heat gun the phone because it’s metal and conducts and becomes instantly too hot to handle. When you pull the adhesive tabs they just snap off. This leaves you having to lever the battery out. This requires a tremendous amount of force and you run the risk of bending the phone chassis or bending and puncturing the old battery (which is super-dangerous, so make sure the battery is fully discharged first). But you can hardly blame that on this product and once the old battery is out fitting the new one is relatively simple.

You need to follow one of the YouTube videos to find the best way to install. Works well, worth the money if your battery is knackered...

Fantastic battery. The phone is now like when it was new. Battery holds charge brilliantly. All the battery info is readable on my i phone just like the original battery but with extra capacity. Be careful and methodical when changing it and you should find it a straightforward process. I didn't disconnect the screen ribbon cables as didn't find it necessary. Just lifted and supported screen at 90 degrees. Unclipped the battery power ribbon. Gently pulled out the 2 adhesive tabs from under the old battery. And it lifted straight out. Replacement is a reversal of the process. Took me all of 10 minutes. Do Not extreme charge and drain the battery as some suggest. Its a myth !! There is no memory with modern li ion batteries. Very pleased with the results 👍

My iPhone 6 started dropping 1% of battery per day.I thought I ought to buy a new phone but I liked the 6 and buying a used phone I thought I’m gonna get the same problem. So traveling through the auction sites, I read bad reviews. So when I came across this Amazon recommended battery I took the plunge. I must say that the instructions aren’t very good but go to YouTube. There are loads of tutorials on there that are good. The only fiddling thing was the adhesive strips - getting the old ones out meant a lot of prying and heat from a hair dryer. And sticking the new ones in was a phaff tbh-the stick to the peel of strip more than the case. I removed my front screen and at first when I re installed the screen I had lines on it. But several removal and re positioning of the four tabs ensured it worked. So my tip would be not to fully install the screen without checking it works first. Allow an hour and plenty of clean work space. As regards to battery life I haven’t done the second charge yet from completely flat but it’s still on 85% so yes it’s good. Worked fine for 2 months. Then died. Brought another battery from elsewhere and working great for 4 months now. So not faulty phone.

With a little practical knowledge it’s easy to swap the battery. All tools included and no need to detach screen. The hardest part for me was removing the old batter. The Apple adhesive is very strong. Take care when removing not to puncture old battery. Once that’s done it’s pretty straight forward. Just 4 screws. 2 on the exterior near the charge port and 2 internal holding the batter connector to the board. Lots of tutorials online.

Mit diesem Set war es ein Kinderspiel, den alten Akku aus dem iPhone 6 herauszunehmen und durch den neuen zu ersetzen. Man braucht eine ruhige Hand, da die Schräublein teilweise extrem winzig sind, aber alles in allem hat es sehr gut funktioniert und dem alten Apfeltelefon wurde wieder etwas Leben eingehaucht! :) Für den Preis gibt‘s nichts zu meckern!

Mi iPhone 6 no le duraba la batería ni medio día y me decidí a probar a cambiar yo mismo la batería, después de leer buenos comentarios de esta batería me decidí a comprarla y la verdad que ha sido sencillísimo de cambiar con las herramientas que traía el pack. En menos de media hora tenía el móvil funcionando y me ha aguantado todo el día la batería. Queda ver si con el paso de los meses sigue funcionando como hoy, pero hoy le he dado una vida nueva a mí movil.

Ho acquistato la batteria in sostituzione di quella dell'iPhone 6. Il kit si è rivelato perfetto in quanto i due cacciaviti inclusi nella confezione consentono facilmente la rimozione di tutte le viti. La ventosa è necessaria per sollevare quanto basta il display per poi, utilizzando il plettro o il grimaldello di plastica, separarlo dallo chassis del telefono. Particolarmente interessante è la presenza delle linguette biadesive, utili a tenere ferma la batteria ma che, solitamente, devono essere acquistate a parte. Sono rimasto sorpreso dalla completezza e dal prezzo proposto. Consigliatissimo.

Il set viene fornito con tutti gli strumenti necessari. La qualità dello strumento è media ma perfettamente adeguata e perfetta per un singolo utilizzo! La prima impressione del set è più che positiva, la batteria funziona correttamente. L'installazione non ha creato problemi con i video di Youtube. Resta da vedere qual è la durata della batteria, la prima impressione è davvero buona!
