quite a good rod for kayak fishing. I tested this out straight away and tested it hard. Threw a 4 hook set of feathers on, aling with a 1oz weight and started jigging for mackerel. First fish, just the one large mackerel, fight was excellent. the rod has a very sensitive action to it, feels almost delicate untill you put it to the test. Next fish, a full house of 4 large mackerel at the same time. I honestly thought the rod was going to snap, but i just kept pushing it. Rod tip almost touching the butt section and it held on quite nicely. I would have given this little beauty 5 stars, but overall you can feel the cheapnes in the rod. the bend doesnt travel through the full rod, but is more focused at the tip down to around mid section of the rod. Its extremely light and has a nice little mechanism for opening the reel clasp. simply twisting the cork at beginning of the handle opens and closes the clasp.For the cost its a really good rod and certanly recommended.

Arrived 3 weeks sooner than expected delivery date, made by Shakespeare which was a pleasant surprise. Goes well with my Shakespeare bait-caster reel.Very light rod for one-handed casting of plugs and lures. Short enough to use on narrow streams for Perch and Pike.

Purchased this rod for doing some river fishing as it's smaller than my main rod which catches on overhanging trees. Very well designed, lightweight and comfortable to hold. I've pulled out some nice sided fish with this rod so the durability seems to be good. A great little baitcaster rod.

Can't say I was expecting all that much when I ordered this rod and when it arrived today in, basically, a plastic bag, I was wondering how many pieces it would be in.Thankfully, it was in only two pieces which is the correct amount it was supposed to come in, not only that, imagine my surprise when I opened it to find a very nicely constructed blank (and I am fussy when it comes to fishing rods), very nicely finished, nicely varnished whippings and a genuine cork handle, and a very comfy trigger grip,also imagine my surprise when it proudly displayed the Shakespeare name on the blank but the biggest surprise of all was how much I actually paid for this rather nice 6' Baitcasting rod.......€11,99....yep, that#s right €11,99 plus postage and packaging and it come to the princely sul of €15,99........if you are a fisherman on a budget.....hell, if you are a fisherman, buy one now !!!!!

This is not, actually, a bad fishing rod: it works well and has a good action. I used it recently with a 28g lure; it cast well and performed nicely with a small catch. It is very strong and, hopefully, durable. The cork handle is a nice touch, but the reel seat is slightly let down as the screw handle is a bit loose; it does the job, but I found the cork slipping a bit as I tightened it up. Nevertheless, it is quite a nice rod to fish with - more suited to a bait caster than a spinning reel, but it does work with both.

Ordered this unbranded rod as it was unbelievably cheap.When it arrived found its a Shakespeare rod.Perfect apart from a slight issue putting together.Asked seller for advice and the issue was resolved quickly.Excellent customer service.It's a very cheap, quality build light weight baitcaster excellent value for money.

Ottima canna per casting manico in sughero imballaggio perfetto, sacca porta canna, canna 2 pezzi, ottima per fiume e lago, piega della canna perfetta per la grammatura che può lanciare.

Il pacco è arrivato in ritardo, a parte questo...una canna da 14 euro che fa tutto??? Ovviamente senza pretese ci ho fatto anche Eging e LRF ed usata mille volte a bass!!! Poca spesa tanta resa!! Ovviamente non ci puoi lanciare molto, molto lontano e di certo non ci puoi prendere una spigola di taglia!!!

Lieferung war ein bißchen lang, dafür kann aber der Verkäufer nichts wenn die Rute 4 Tage beim Zoll liegt.Nach dem auspacken war ich etwas skeptisch, denn es sieht nicht nach Kohlefaser aus. Heute auch gleich ausprobiert, tolle aktion, sehr flexibel, ultra leicht, passt sehr gut zu meiner Baitcast Rolle. Da die Rute so weich ist, merkt man den Köder und Bisse sehr gut.Die besten 15 € die ich ausgegeben habe.

Für den Preis eine super Rute! Man darf sie nicht mit einer 100 euro Rute vergleichen. Die Ausstattung ist top. Die Verarbeitung ist Klasse! Und verpackt war sie einwandfrei! Daran sollten sich andere Shops eine Scheibe abschneiden. Eine wirklich solide Rute die ich mir sogar noch ein 2 Mal bestellen werde! Kaufempfehlung!!!
