My son loves it. He is just under 2. I'm sure he will love it more when he is older.

My 1year old grand child loves it

Extra large book about animals for small kids. Beautifully edited. Creative approach to well known facts about animals (and some that might be new). Great duo from France - Pittau & Gervais. Worth knowing their work.

I've had this book for over a year now. It is a great book, the information is quite interesting. The children really enjoy revealing the hidden animals.The only problem I have with the book is almost from the start some of the flaps came loose. The quality (or application) of the glue holding the flaps seems to be inconsistent. This would not stop me from buying the book again.

I read about this book in a review by the Wall Street Journal Weekender addition. Every weekender edition includes kids book reviews. The review was outstanding and made the book sound so good, I wanted to buy a copy for myself. Instead, I bought a copy for my two great-nieces who are 5 and 7 years old. My niece (their mom) called me the day they got book and told me they were entranced by it. The older one liked it so much she took it to bed with her.It is an interactive book with fold outs, pull tabs and great illustrations. It has interesting obscure facts about animals and is perfect for this age range. While I have not had the chance to read it myself, they promised to bring it over so I could read it to them (or with them since I have been told I am just a bid kid.)Anyway, another great book review by the Wall Street Journal. The book gets 5 stars from me because it made Hanukkah special for my two great nieces.

The book itself is great! I have bought 2 copies, one for ourselves and one for a gift. After the first copy I would have rated it 10 stars if I could. It has been a big hit with my 4 year old daughter and her friends and cousins and more than once as soon as they get to the end they want to start over at the beginning immediately. So I ordered a second copy as a birthday gift for my friends 4 year old and flipping through the book after we received it I was kind of disappointed because some of the tabs were glued on crooked, it just seemed carelessly put together. If not for that I would still be rating it as highly as possible.

I bought this book for my nephew. He is really enjoying it. There are many flaps to lift inside that reveal information about the various animals in the book. However, it is not a toddler type lift the flap book.

The book is a work of art that is educational too. It makes a great gift for young children who love nature. It is also informative for the adult reading the book with the child. Beautiful graphics and presentation.

This large format book is enticing - my kids could hardly wait to read it. Each page as interactive flaps, panels, or pop-outs. If that isn't enough, there is the added challenge of figuring out what type of animal resides on the pages. The animals are not the typical ones, but can still be figured out by my 5- and 7-year-olds. If I could, I would make it a few pages longer, but it is a great book. Great, big, wonderful book. Not for younger fingers that like to pull and tear, but overall a very engaging, informative, fun book to enjoy!

Great book, beautifully made and very creative. Definitely, buy it! You won't be disappointed. It's appropriate for a child as young as 2 or 3, with adult supervision.

Excellent Grandson enjoys it

This is a great book. I bought it as a gift for a second grade student who is interested in animals. He reads it over and over and comes up with additonal questions that he wants infomation about. I recommended the book to afriend who ordered it for her son. She said her son is just as delighted with the book.

I heard about the book from a blog. What a great surprise and treat. I ordered two the first time one for me one for my sister. She in turned ordered two more for gifts for grand children and I did the same. What a fabulous gift and visual for the eye. My son would say Sweet.

Bought it for our 2 year old. He loves how interactive it is. I love how much I learned reading it!

My 4yr old grandson loves it! He reads it every night. I will buy it again as a gift when needed.
