I just received these a few days ago and opened them for the first time. There has not been a review for well over a year so I was concerned about the age of the product. I ground one up in my spice grinder and sprinkled it in my scrambled eggs. First impression was that the flavor and aroma and heat were fairly faint. I will update this review as I grind more and use them for other things such as soups and chili.

I have ordered these before and I use them for salsa that I make. Good smoked flavor.
