The Black & Decker Complete Guide to Home Wiring: Including Information on Home Electronics & Wireless Technology, Revised Edition

The book was full of good information and I doubt I would have been able to fix the wiring in my house without it - super handy to have.

The simplicity of the diagrams for several wiring issues and the color graphics are amazing. . I have done a decent amount of wiring of houses, shops etc. On the job training deal over many years.I recently helped my son wire his new large shop. We had one complex 4 way situation. This book nailed it. Love it.

This is a handy reference to have around for all those malfunctions that always come up eventually around your place. Over time it happens to everyone whether it's anything from a loose wire to a blown fuse or a burnt outlet. It's also handy to have around if you have to hire and electrician so you can be more sure if they're actually fixing the problem and if what they're telling you is correct for all the money you're paying. So this is a fine book to add to your basic knowledge of wiring for those reasons alone.

Great resource book, a little pricey, though

The book is helpful and a good starting reference point.

Highly recommended- it has high-quality photographs and wiring diagrams, and good clear instructions. It does not dig very deeply into theory, but it does give some in context. I was able to complete a number of home projects that ordinarily I would have hired an electrician for. As getting an electrician to even return a phone call around here is nearly impossible, let alone show up, I needed a good reliable howto manual, and this is it.The Rex Cauldwell book is a good companion for this book, for readers who want the advanced course.

i wanted to now more about wiring so i found a book at amozam the black and decker complete guide to home wiring it help me a lot on sub panels that i was not sure yes i would tell you to buy it if you have any questons on what to do

I had hoped that this book would be the answer to my prayers. Unfortunately it is writen for the American market and is of little use if you live in the UK.

Good basic introduction to home wiring for the beginner DIY'er.
