READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!
Before you buy you need to know if this product is for you or not, as another reviewer mentioned, if you have a $2000 dac & amp setup, then this cable is NOT for you, I am that person, my setup is around 2k, does this product work, absolutely! but only on high end equipment, $25000 plus, only then you will hear the difference and what it actually does, this is a very high-end product made for high-end systems.I will make it simple, it's like buying a gear for your car that is effective after you reach 150 miles speed, and installing it on a car that only goes to 100 miles speed! This is exactly the story of this cable, know your setup and buy the right product for what you have, otherwise you won't benefit from this cable, if you are like me just go with the audioquest carbon.I've done the comparison, yes there is a difference, but a very very minor one, I only spotted the difference because I have a trained ear, and it wasn't easy, so yes it's not worth it if you don't have a very high-end system.Hope this helps

Used the Diamond for 3 years. It's superb IF and ONLY IF...
This is well worth the small investment for what it can do for your audio system, IF and ONLY IF you have a hugh end, transparent system that can reveal these kind of changes. In a system that costs $2500, you will hear nothing from this cable. In a system that goes for $25,000 you will hear a massive difference between this and a stock USB cable for music going into a USB DAC. My DAC alone is a $3500 piece. My Amp is $20k. My Speakers are only $3k and my speaker cables are around $1400. This cable alone made differences to the soundstage (wider and deeper), the imaging (more precise) and the sound is just bigger and more real. Any who just post a 1 star review sadly know very little about high end audio, or the true purpose of a cable like this. Anyone with a system good enough to hear the changes made, can and very easily. But again, if you have even a $5000 system, this cable would be a waste. If you have a $20k system and use $50 speaker cable, this would be a waste. If you have a well balanced higher end system that can use some more 3 dimensional magic, Id suggest auditioning this cable or buy it and return it if it doesn't change the sound for the better for you and your ears ; )

Great sound
Improved my digital side, which is: Roon Server/Small Green Computer i9->fiber->Sonore opticalRendu->Uptone USPCB->Uptone ISO Regen->AQ Diamond->modified Oppo 205. I moved up from AQ Carbon, then Curious (yellow), both fine cables, but the Diamond, albeit more expensive, is in another league. I was impressed with the Carbon's evenness/musicality, and Curious' clarity, but the Diamond handily beat them both in terms of low noise/black background. Quieter across the spectrum, without sacrificing warmth, or radically changing tone. If you want to get after lowering your noise floor, consider auditioning this one.

No better than a $5 cable.
This product is "snakeoil". Digital audio cables either work or don't - data goes over the wire as bits which include a checksum that allows the receiver to verify that there were no errors. The manufacturer's claim that their cables provide "unmatched purity of tone, outstanding dynamic shading and a breathtaking level of resolution" is simply false - you'll get the same quality out of any other cable that meets the USB spec.

Only Justified for a Top Quality Audio System
I'm surprised people would use this expensive cable for charging a cell phone or running a printer. The difference it would make in those applications is very small. The main justification for spending this much on a USB cable is for use in a very high quality audio system. For that use, this is one of the very best cables. The view that all USB cables should sound the same makes sense in theory, but in practice the sonic differences between different cables are actually huge.

Absolutely worth the money
I recently auditioned this cable in a blind demo and it was beyond obvious which was the Diamond. Everything is significantly better. Soundstage grew in all directions, background was significantly blacker and detail was greatly improved - most noticeably in the top end. I'm using mine between a Mac Mini and an Ayre QB-9 DSD and any high end system with a USB DAC will improve with this cable.Sincerely - formerly a cable doubter and an Electrical Engineer so don't talk to me about nut understanding digital signal processing. :)

Ridiculously expensive but it sounded really good!
I have compare the carbon and diamond side by side. The difference in my sound system is significant. The diamond cable is ridiculously expensive but it really works. I have has this cable for about a year and just want to share my experience that usb cable does make a difference in a high end audiophile system. You have to listen to believe.
