I bought this with a 3-week delivery date. It arrived at a rural NZ address within 5 days!If you live in NZ and have paddocks of ropey, old Kikuyu, then you need this line for your trimmer mower. I have a Grillo Trimmer Mower and the Trimmer Line that comes with it cannot handle matted kikuyu or stalky weeds.In fact, I couldn’t find any line in NZ I thought would be thick enough to deal with the matted grass I’ve got. This is just under 4mm and not overly bendy so it took ages to figure out how to get it through the holes in the Grillo Trimmer with its anti-wrap guard on. However, I eventually figured out a way and now can replace line reasonably quickly.This stuff is brutal when it’s cutting and grass flies everywhere. I definitely need a helmet with visor.With really old, matted kikuyu I usually need to go back and forth a couple of times to get through the layers. It’s more efficient than using a scrubcutter with a blade though because I don’t have to continually stop to remove grass rope.There’s no fraying, some wear down of the ends, and sometimes a cm of the stuff breaks off. I can usually last about 45 minutes of cutting matted stuff before I actually break a string.I haven’t needed to hydrate the line yet, as the line I received is in really good condition.I cannot figure out how to use the cutting tool but I have small pair of wire cutters that work just fine. I cut a dozen or so lines at a time and keep these in a bag that I carry with me when I’m mowing.I am absolutely sold on this stuff. It’s really strong and cheaper than line in NZ. I will definitely buy this product again

I have an Echo trimmer where you have to cut a length of line, run it through the spool then wind it up. Previously I used .105 round wire cut at 9 ft lengths to fill the spool. When I cut this stuff at 9 ft. lengths I couldn't get all of it in the spool. No problem, 7 ft. lengths work fine. Reason: the body of this line is .105 but the overall diameter is larger because of the fins on the line. If your trimmer will only take .105 maximum round line then this will not fit so just a heads up for you. As far as the performance it cuts much better than plain round line and I'm glad that I bought it. 7 ft. of this stuff lasts longer than the 9 ft. of the other stuff, is more heavy duty and just cuts better. I cut a steep embankment on my property when it gets about a foot tall and this line plows right through it. If you need some heavy duty line for some tough cutting then I highly recommend this stuff!

The original weed-whacker trimmer line my "wheeled trimmer" machine came with was shaped more like an octagon so I was a little surprised by just how crisp and "sharp" the corners of this square line feels.But those sharp edges do the trick! I'm very impressed! I also like that the color of the trimmer line is so bright and orange. Makes it easy to find the little pieces later and do quick cleanup of the area.This trimmer line is a great value as long as you don't mind cutting your own trimmer line to length. I don't! It works great and you can't go wrong. I feel like having the line on a spool keeps the place neater than having to manage a bunch of expensive, precut trimmer line.

I tend an acre of weeds with 2 weed eaters, one a 3hp push the other a 56volt electric. Both have been modified to accept .155" string. I have bought all hi-end top rated string in the past and it would require changing 2-4 times during use due to breakage or wear. This string is phenomenal and does the whole job without failure. I change it now when I start a job just because it wears thin towards the ends after extensive use. Have not yet had this string break. This roll is going to last a long time.I'm not one for writing reviews as I find most products disappointing so I'm taking the time to submit a positive review. I hope this will help some in finding a good product.

I use the .95 on my craftsman that takes the 2 precut sections. This is much more affordable and the selection of gauges makes it easy to get the size you need. I tied a small piece of twine to the spool and tied a knot on each end so that I have an accurate measurement each time I need to cut more off. I'll buy again but it's going to be a long time before I run out of this spool!

I've used several other brands of trimmer line on both of my Stihl weedeaters, designed for .095 diameter string. This line, while a good value, is too large a diameter to thread on the tool. Feels like a good, strong product, but I had to return it.

Works really well. I cut super long ditches that are full of rocks and roots. This line is very durable. Holds up like nothing I’ve used before, as well as the price is a fraction of sthil line

As a commercial gardener, I have found this to be a great product.

This stuff is awesome. It cuts way better than standard trimmer line. It goes through brambles, thistles, small sticks... I can't believe the cutting power. Breaks less than standard line too.

Comes in a dispenser that works . It is square section and is not brittle .
