Really nice and versatile fan.
I bought this as a replacement fan for a similar Lasko pedestal fan that stopped working. It lasted 14 years with almost daily use for many hours a day. Pretty darn good for a plastic fan. I am hoping this one will last a long time as well. The design is good. It snaps together easily, and is easy to take cover off for cleaning and dusting when needed. It has good air flow, and is reasonably quiet. Ideal for air circulation in a bedroom or medium sized room. Not an industrial fan, so it doesn't push tons of air. The pedestal has infinite height adjustments, and the oscillation is nice and wide. The highest setting (3) pushes quite a bit of air. (2) is ideal for general air circulation, and lowest setting(1) is good for sleeping. A good value for the price, and looks nice too.

Worried at first but ends up working very well
I hate to see the phrase you get what you pay for and it is very sad when it is true. Putting together this fan was easy (the overwritten instructions did seem to overcomplicate it). The pole fit into the base and secured well. The adjustable pole that goes into that went on easily too and the knob holds it firmly in place at the height I want. It is the motor and fan pieces themselves that are the problem. The motor piece sits on top of the pole but does not tighten into place and it wobbles easily. As most have said snapping the fan shell into place is very difficult due to the cheap plastic. Luckily all my snaps were intact and most of them eventually went into place. The most important part is the fan blades and they are solid and fit securely in place. After reading reviews here and with the motor wobbling easily in its place I was looking for problems. I can happily report that this fan has after one month of use performed very well and has been in constant use due to this hot summer in the northeast. I move my fan around a lot and the fan shell stays securely in place and the motor stays in place as well. The fan puts out a great amount of air and I tend to need only the first and second setting. For all the worry the fan works great whether in a solitary position or oscillating. Even oscillating at the highest level it flows seamlessly. It does not shake or vibrate and the plastic in no way hinders its performance. I can happily say I am very pleased with this fan. I readjust the height often and move it about often and the fan remains sturdy. The company states that this fan is a silent fan though and this is not true at all. It is rather noisy and I need to turn my tv up quite a bit when on the second setting. I recommend this fan. It is priced great and works well. I must add though that I am discouraged to see Lasko using such cheap materials for their lower end products. They are a name brand and quality should be expected. As I've read other reviews I see many had the fan blade arrive damaged or the outer fan shell have snaps broken off. I can easily see how this could happen. Luckily mine went together well and works fine. I do recommend making sure you buy this from Amazon themselves and not a third party seller for then if any issues arise Amazon is great with returns. But again, for me, it is providing great air flow and circulation and helping out this very hot summer.

Great Fan
I have owned two of these. Both worked great. Isn't too loud at all and has a pretty decent air flow even on the lowest setting. Best cheap fan out there. UPDATE: 6/13/16 - Still going strong, definitely a good fan! Honestly surprised it hasn't broken down.

Not bad for the price
Bought this to replace a Lakewood LSF1610C-WM that died after two years but now I kind of wish I would have bought another Lakewood. I still have another functioning Lakewood that I'm comparing to this fan. Like others have said, it goes together in 5 minutes until you get to the plastic front which is really cheap and hard to snap on. I like metal grills better. It's not as quiet as the Lakewood either, you can hear the motor on this thing whereas the Lakewood you just hear the wind. Not a huge difference but it's definitely noticeable. There's also an imbalance somewhere to where I can see the entire fan assembly shaking very lightly. The Lakewood is motionless. I'm too lazy to return this so I'll see how long it lasts before I toss it. I wouldn't buy another one though. Edit: I've had it running 24/7 for a year and a half now and it's still working fine. It still vibrates at anything but the lowest setting and it's not quiet enough for a bedroom, but at least the motor is still going.

Very cheap fan that is made mostly of cheap plastic ...
Very cheap fan that is made mostly of cheap plastic. It is quite with decent air flow but if you plan on moving it around it will fall apart.

pure pile of plastic...puke
I got this fan because I can't currently drive (broken leg) and it was going to be 100 degrees. The only positive thing I can say is that the fan works as a fan. It sounds like a jet engine, but it does work. This was a bit surprising to me as I've purchased Lasko before. This is clearly an "updated" and "new" model. It is a terrible quality. It is really bad injection molded plastic that is supposed to snap together (no screws anywhere). I suppose this could happen if the pieces were the same shape (to call this round would be a stretch) and latches didn't have plastic blocking the holes. I got the fan together by using a utility knife to cut the excess plastic out of the holes and the fan sort of became round when i snapped the pieces together, if I had small children or animals I wouldn't trust the security of how well this is put together. bottom line if you have a broken leg and it's 100 degrees out then you can make it work, otherwise don't bother.

Lasko 2526
I read all the reviews and worried that I may have chosen an inferior fan...but now, I am the proud owner of 5 of these fans. I bought two at first because the weather was terribly hot and our old fans were starting to break down. I was delighted that they were so nice looking...although they are a light grey and not white. They are plastic and my previous fans had metal "cages" so I wondered about that, too. I live near the beach so we have rusting issues with almost anything metal. The plastic is a boon for coastal living. I then bought an additional 3 more fans...great price, too. I gave one to my neighbor who was suffering with this heat. The other two I move throughout the house as they are needed. They do NOT make huge noise as some reviewers have said. I find them to be efficient and worth the money. You will not be sorry. Thank you.
