Classic Look and Sturdy Feel
Installation was not too difficilt thanks to the handy video provided. I did have to do a little filing to get the latch to fit through the hole. Not sure if that’s my doors fault or if it’s a little bit bigger than normal size. Overall very happy. Pricey, but I believe you get what you pay for and this knob is quality.

Looks great with original 1850s hardware on other door to the room
The porcelain knob looks similar enough to the knob on the rim lock for the entrance door to the room that it could pass for original hardware. Looks great in my 1850s farm house.

Nice look but pricey.
Easy to install and well made. Had to replace a bathroom door knob and found this one which had a porcelain knob on both sides (old one had a porcelain Knob only on the inside and chrome one on the outside). Happy with the ease of replacing the broken one with Nostaglic's porcelain doorknob but it was pricey at $80. I guess two porcelain knobs and the solid brass base increases the cost but overall it is worth it if it is made to last. Maybe Nostalgic could give customers the option of one porcelain and one chrome knob at a lower price.Overall, I am happy with the purchase.

Porcelain Door Knob Is An Ideal Replacement
After over 20 years the porcelain knob fell off the door and cracked. This replacement looks identical and installed fairly easily. Double doors with only one porcelain knob would have been very noticible.
