Antenna
It came when they said. It was easy to install and works great, before I could only get the local radio station on my Polaris sxs now I can get any station that is available. I highly recommend this antenna

Good radio, easy install.
My antenna went out on my old car and, well, they don't sell replacements antennas that fit. That's where this little guy fits it. It was easy to install through my dash and connect to my radio.First connect the black ground wire to the cars ground wire, or any part of the metal frame. The red wire connects to the 12v wire in my car; this gives power to the radio only when I turn on the key. Then the antenna wire connects to the stereo. The wires are long enough to reach around my whole dash, although if you string them through the dash, you will need extra space to stash all the excess wire. The devices isn't too big, and looks okay behind the rearview mirror. As for the reception, I have had better antennas, but not for this cheap. At <$20 this antenna gets the job done; it pulls in all of my local stations even when inside garages or under tree cover. The antenna works well for it's intended purpose.

Jensen Windshielfd Antenna
I'm thinking that the divergent opinions for this antenna is due to the signal quality in the reviewers area. If you are in or close to a larger metro area, it will pull in strong stations quite well. But if you are in a weaker signal area like I am; this is not the unit for you. For example, my location in western Connecticut is very hilly and about 60+ miles from New York City. With a normal factory supplied automobile whip antenna, I can easily receive 50,000 Watt WCBS-AM perhaps with some occasional weakness of signal. With this antenna there was no detection of the signal at all. There are several other antennas on Amazon that appear very similar or the same as tis, but with a different brand name. The net is that it's inexpensive and that's consistent with the quality you receive.

Doesn't work well
I initially just plugged this antenna in and wired it, It worked okay but, I noticed that I didn't have to connect the ground for it to function, the LED light was on. I ran the wiring and installed the antenna at the top of my windshield in front of the rear-view mirror and it worked okay. I then took a test drive, and the antenna didn't function properly. I lived in a heavily wooded area, so I thought maybe there was interference. I stopped at Wally World, (Walmart) and the radio would barely pick up any stations. I had not removed my previous invisible antenna, so I plugged it in, and I was able to pick up all my stations again. I ordered this antenna because of intermittent interference with the previous antenna but this one was MUCH worse so I will keep just be happy with what I have.

Amplified antenna
MY car developed poor FM reception, all the normal stations came in but some had intermittent static. Instead of guessing the guessing or testing things for the problem, I figured this antenna would be a cheap and easy diagnostic step, but possibly left permanent if it worked. The antenna works, my signals were stronger but still had a little static at times. It wouldn't be honest of me to expect this antenna to eliminate all the static, since there are so many other variables. This antenna did reduce static and I also gained a couple stations that I normally couldn't seek or listen too.I mounted this antenna to the top-center of the windshield for my car, I don't think it would work real good if it was concealed or shielded by metal. If you cant tell from the pic, it has a power and a ground to hook up too. The ground wire is at the antenna base, but the wire is as long as the antenna cable, so you can run it short or take it back to the radio. The power wire needs to be hot when the radio is on, most radios have a antenna/amp-on wire or power antenna wire to hook to. I wouldn't this in water but the antenna looks good and weather sealed.

Works a treat on classic car
After reading a review by MGB regarding use on hot rods, I purchased a unit for my 1957 Pontiac Star Chief as I had the fender aerial hole filled in during a repaint. I agree totally with MGB's review, as I installed the aerial under the metal dashboard, and I get a clear signal on FM (don't use AM, so not sure about that) inside the garage.Very pleased indeed with the purchase.
