The second set in the Know the Artist Poster series includes - Alexander Calder, Helen Frankenthaler, Vincent van Gogh, Edward Hopper, Katsushika Hokusai, Roy Lichtenstein, Henri Matisse, Michelangelo. The colorful 18 x 24 in. posters are printed on heavy card stock with a protective coating. Each features one large reproduction by the artist, an overview of the artist's life, a brief paragraph on knowing the artist by his or her style, and a "Gallery" showing four additional art reproductions with explanatory captions. Also helpful for student viewing are each artist's portrait along with interpretive diagrams, maps and timelines. The Teacher's Guide expands upon the information about each artist and includes activities related to the individual style of the artist. The posters are packaged in a plastic storage bag.
