Fans of the Punisher graphic novels and comics should check out this volume.
For many years I have enjoyed reading the Punisher series. I recently bought this graphic novel issue (Punisher Untold Tales) and found it to be an interesting and enjoyable read. This issue has 5 interesting short tales by different authors and with different artists for each story. The five tales include the following: “Jimmy’s Collision” “Where the devil don’t stay” “The ribbon” “Manhunt” and “A little about revenge.” If you are into the “Punisher” series you might want to check out this volume. I liked most of the stories and I think the graphics were fantastic.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Haiku Moments: How to read, write and enjoy haiku).

The Punisher as seen through the eyes of his enemies.
Big Punisher MAX fan, here. If you're interested in a few yarns set in his world, this doesn't disappoint. A good follow-up for anyone who enjoyed the "Naked Kills" TPB. I own every single Punisher MAX volume from Ennis to Aaron, and if you're craving some more stories involving Frank, this volume's where it's at."Untold Tales" is a compilation of short stories involving the Punisher, mainly revolving around the many criminals he ends up killing. So rather than trying to add characterization to the already well-fleshed out Frank Castle, this volume is more like a horror comic. The Punisher is seen more as an unstoppable force that the protagonists are trying to confront or escape. One story in particular involving a Punisher tied up in a barn with a family wondering what to do with him next, is worth the price of the volume alone. At the end of the day this volume's not about the Punisher, despite the title. He's just not the focus of the book. That might turn you off, but if you're die-hard Punisher fan (or even just like crime/noir comics), I'd still say this is worth a buy.

Punisher comic
This has 6 good Punisher stories. They are good stories but needed more Punisher in them. Punisher fans will like this but the art isn't the best. It wasn't bad, but not great. It is worth buying.

The untold story
consisting of flashback stories set in the Punisher MAX universe, the quality of each story does vary to a degree, but is still a good buy.

BETTER TITLE: UNTOLD TALES RARELY HAVING ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE PUNISHER.
The stories were good and the art were good. If you are a Punisher fan, just buy it. Otherwise, the stories are un-related and it is questionable whether or not these are actual stories about the Punisher.

a disappointment
Perhaps these tales should have remained untold. The punisher is too good a character to have such tales written about him of all the Punisher max stories i have read these would rank at the very bottom the art was poor and three of the frour tales presented made me regret this purchase

More of the focus is on different nobody characters and how the punisher causes their demise at the end of their stories.

Fun Collection
Being new to Punisher MAX, I enjoyed these one-off stories. There's a few scenes that make you wanna gasp, but that's what I was looking for in the MAX! These tales always seem to come full circle - Karma is a B....

Good stories, but not much Punisher
Untold Tales of Punisher MAX is a decent read. There are 5 different stories with 5 different writers (Jason Starr - "Jimmy's Collision", Jason Latour - "Where the Devil Don't Stay", Megan Abbott - "The Ribbon", Nathan Edmondson - "Manhunt", and Skottie Young - "A Little About Revenge"). The stories themselves are interesting, featuring different protagonists, perspectives, and crimes. In my opinion, "Jimmy's Collision" and "Manhunt" are the most engaging.Unfortunately, the stories themselves all too often focus on the characters and not the Punisher, who's seemingly relegated to an almost cameo appearance in 3 of the 5 stories. Just as bad, when the Punisher is in the story for an extended period/number of panels, his dialogue pales in comparison to the likes of MAX writers Jason Aaron and Garth Ennis. It's generally awkward, and a number of things he says seem out of character for the MAX version of the Punisher I've come to enjoy. (I'd provide examples, but I hate to give out potential spoilers.)Overall, the stories are interesting and full of adult content (albeit with somewhat tamer violence.) However, the relative lack of Frank Castle as well as his more talkative depiction makes this book hard to recommend for the MAX fans who've enjoyed the previous reads by Aaron and Ennis. In fact, I highly recommend those works more - especially for those who haven't read them - than this volume.

From First to Last" gezeigt.

I'm a bit biased
The Punisher max series has had some amazing runs through out the series so to give this a average rating seems a bit harsh but although very enjoyable story's and a art style that really fits the characters and the world around them there is nothing new to be seen here.
