Allergen Remover Air Filter

Works exactly like stated. Good filter good price. Last a long time and does it’s job. You can tell it’s working especially if your in a confined space. I purchased the air purifier for use in a hospital room but it worked so well I use it everyday at home. I wanted this filter because it will take the most allergens and 🦠 germs out of the air. The air always gets stale in the confined spaces. I have horrible allergies and stale air makes them bad. When I use this my allergies are not a problem. You can tell the air is cleaner and less stale.

We purchase these replacement HEPA filters for our Holmes Air Purifier and, although a little expensive, deliver an effective HEPA air purifying experience in our home where multiple people have bad allergies. We run our air purifier for a minimum of 12 hours a day and have found these cartridges give us a good three to four months' utility before needing replacement. Whether you use a portable air purifier or invest in the HEPA air filters for your central heating and cooling, you're going to pay a premium for the HEPA-grade filters. So, we make an investment for the wellness of our family and these filters are a part of that investment. In all, I highly recommend this product for your Holmes Air Purifier if HEPA-grade clean air is a requirement for you.

Very sturdy and gives great air quality.

There are less expensive generic filters but they do not fit properly and do not work as well. I learned from that mistake and ordered the proper filters and the difference was bought and day!! These work great!!!

I use these filters in my mini-tower Holmes air purifiers (I have two of them). A year or two ago, it became much harder to find the original filter cartridges that I used to use with the Holmes purifiers, but these were suggested as a (more expensive) replacement, so I bought a couple. Do they pick up dust (and other junk) out of the air? Yes, absolutely. I have pet birds, a large dog, and four cats in a two-bedroom condo (as well as an aversion to cleaning), so these things have quite a job to do. Because my living situation is quite a lot dustier than normal, I'm not sure that there's ANY cartridge that's 100% up to the task. I go through these quite a bit faster than the manufacturer's recommended replacement rate, but I don't blame the filter cartridges for that. I have all sorts of indoor allergies. Qualitatively, my allergies are less severe since the filter cartridge change. I *think* maybe there's a little less dust on the furniture, these days, but it's hard to tell. However, one of my cats has recently developed asthma (thankfully, a mild case), so there may still be at least some dust in the air. She has been doing much better since I replaced the old cartridge, though. (My purifiers do not have indicator lights so it's a bit of a guess as to when to do this.) I can't really evaluate these in terms of getting rid of odors (for that, it seems the quality of my kitty litter has more to do with it than anything else). I suspect if the odor was particulate in nature (i.e., cigarette smoke or incense or something of that sort), these might be pretty effective, as they are true HEPA filters. I doubt there will be too many customers who have comparable allergen levels in their homes as I do! I'm inclined to go fairly easy on these, ratings-wise, because I do recognize that I'm unlikely to find any product that will be 100% effective, and these are at least as good (if not maybe a little better) than any other filter cartridges I've tried. (For what it's worth, these should fit in the Honeywell brand purifiers, as well; they appear to be a standard shape and size.) Certainly, in combination with a good furnace filter and a vacuum cleaner with its own HEPA filter, these represent a decent strategy for the never-ending battle to control dust and allergens.

After 2 years of using my Holmes HEPA air filtration system it has definitely stood the test of time against dust, allergens and even pet orders but this very morning it may just have saved my life! Unbeknownst to me as all the house was sleeping and I was preparing For an early Sunday morning arrival at work a beast of stench was cooking in my very bedroom. As I exited the shower a faint noise could be heard from outside the bathroom door, I shrugged it off assuming our cat Miss Skittles had a case of the early morning zoomiez little did I know that muffled sound was the beatboxing rear end of the very man I loved steaming underneath our covers a culmination of last nights mixture of stouts and cloudy pale ales mixed with the remnants of the previous nights questionable $4 meat special that was repeating like a cheesy pop song on local radio, but….. as I slowly and quietly entered the bedroom and leaned in for a morning kiss I was greeted with a smile and compliment and how amazing that filter is! The room smelled as fresh as it had upon exiting!! This air filtration not only saved my life but also my relationship :)

I got a HAP1200 from brick and mortar probably 10+ years ago. It came with a “lifetime HEPA” filter which doesn’t seem like a real thing then and definitely not now... Performance degraded over time so it really just did backup fan duty for many years. Fast forward to 2020 with crazy wildfires keeping us locked indoors for over a week. HEPA air purifiers sold out everywhere, so it was all hands on deck so to speak. I went out on a limb and found these filters fit perfectly! HAP1200 requires 2 filters (and you can mix and match colors/types.) These filters not only helped us get another HEPA in our rotation, but it saved a device from the landfill. Lifetime HEPA isn’t a real thing IMO - the performance between old and new filters was proven with our AQI meter, the increase of flow, and very obvious reduction in odor. If you have an old Holmes you might be able to breathe fresh life into it.

The green filter for allergies lasts 12 months where the other ones need to be replaced at 3 months. So you definitely get more for your money. It works great! My son has severe allergies so I have this going in his room 24/7. You can see that it is pulling in dust and even pet hair! I will continue to use this product.

My older model Bionaire machine just perfectly. Bionaire; I finally found them online properly and they said any AER1 filter will fit these older machines. As a bonus, the quality is WAY higher, it even has a rubber seal on the back that lines up .. again, perfectly. So much better than the cardboard ones I was using. It also states "12 month replacement" .. which is better (hopefully) than the "3 month" on my old filters. I got the "allergy" filter only because the filter seems to be of higher quality (more durable looking). Again the quality of these filters is pretty darn impressive. Recommended.

Me declararon alergica a perros, gatos, pajaros, polen y muchas otras cosas hace 3 años. Me compre un purificador de aire para mi cuarto y comence a usar este filtro. El cuarto siempre olia limpio y con la ayuda del ionizador el polvo lo capturaba rápido. por lo que siempre me sentia mejor en mi cuarto aun con las visitas temporales de mi gato. Aun al final de su vida, no contribuyó con malos olores. Ayuda mucho conectarlo a un temporizador para que solo limpie antes de que llegues a tu casa, en las fases dificiles del dia o solo cuando estes en el cuarto.
