Being an individual with poor mobility and some SI joint issues, I've got some pretty tight muscles. Most things I can iron out with a lacrosse ball or jump-stretch band. However, the psoas is a tough area to loosen up. This ball has worked perfectly for me. It is large enough to get into the deep areas where the psoas is. Basically, I just lay face down on the ground with this ball on my stomach and find the tender spots.I am 6 feet tall and 225 lbs and this 4 inch ball has worked great for me.

This ball is a perfect size for various fascia release exercises. Specifically for me, abdominal fascia release. The material feels durable. It came with tools that made it easy to inflate. Soft enough to be a child's play toy, but durable enough to roll on! No smell or off-gassing noticeable.

Im a massage therapist & treat patients with varying conditions, including athletes and myself. I use it for varying stretches & techniques while visiting patients or just to stretch my own back in uncommon angles. It did arrive slightly warped, but I attribute it to the mailman leaving the package under the hot Miami sun on a very hot day. Its not a heavy thick rubber, so keep away from extensive heat.

a lot of variability in manufacturing. i have one ball from a couple of years ago that kept air well. i got a couple in june 2013 which have never held air well, plastic feels a different consistency than a couple of years ago. i'm hesitant to try again.

flat when arrived. Tried to shape it back but it would not. Waste of money.
