VTechV-Motion: Dora the Explorer

My granddaughter(4yrs old) fell in love with this product I purchased on Amazon for her Birthday.Dora is her favorite character, everything is Dora to her. It was amazing watching her put the cartridge in the machine and play the game, it kept her busy for a few hours.Everytime she visits me she want to play her Dora game.. This is one off the best learning tools ever.

I got this game for my two daughters, age 4 and 6. The six year old reviewed this game. She liked it a lot, but she didn't find it challenging enough. Four year old was consumed by the game and sometimes asked for help (however, she said that the game was not very hard). They both like Dora, so the game got positive reception from the start. The game is for the kids up to 4, after that age they don't learn much, usually they know much of the stuff presented in the game already.

Prior to purchasing I was hesitant as I successfully use Leapfrog products a lot to teach my kids with no issues.I decided to give the V motion and this game a try .I was disappointed.The accuracy of the game is not where I would like in assessing the kids.The game is problematic to manoeuvre in Motion control mode.It is difficult for my child to give the correct answer which she would have when she has to battle in getting the character to move where she likes.At one point she even began to scream at Dora out of frustration as the controllers response did not match with what she tried to do.These games need some more substance before they can be properly branded for learning.

Hey it's dora the explorer. What kid doesn't like Dora. I do wish the game was little more math and numbers oriented.

This was a gift for my grand daughter. She just loves the story and it keeps her occupied for quite a while. It was a great investment for her play time.

Great game, my niece and nephew love playing as Dora and helping her on her adventures.

My 3-year-old daughter enjoys the game. It will take her a while to be able to maneuver character jumping and walking, but she enjoys practicing.

I bought this for my 3 and 7 year old, so far it has been a big it. Not to difficult but is challenging at the same time.

The grand chldren loved it!
