Glad I Chose This One
This was a replacement for a Bose Wave CD Radio. I transferred my CDs to iTunes, and thought it was time for a dock. Initially, I knew I would buy a Bose Sounddock II or Sounddock 10. I was familiar with Audyssey, since I own an Onkyo receiver, and I have a Audyssey Subwoofer EQ in my home theater. I always read reviews prior to any purchase. I had been to a Bose store and tested the sounddocks with songs on my iPhone. I was set on the Sounddock 10, but figured I would check a few more reviews, and that was when I stumbled on this Audyssey Dock. I was never able to demo it, but reviews on multiple sites sold me. I bought it and received it quickly. When I first listened to it in my kitchen, I was astounded. Blew my old Wave CD Radio away, and produced better sound than the Bose Sounddocks. I was extremely happy I chose this one. Prior to hearing it, I figured it would fall in the middle of the Bose docks. This thing sounds better and crisper than the Sounddock 10. Glad I didn't spend an extra $240 to have less quality sound.

Amazing sound, only one con..
I like music with rich bass, hip-hop mostly and in addition i like when my glasses vibrates due to a great sound font, and this is it ! DEEP bass (INCLUSIVE at low volume), great sound and curious design, I dont have any complain about the sound quality because its just great, and the bluetooth funcionality its amazing, also got an aux in for any other external player..The ONLY thing i DONT understand its WHY its the remote controller sensor DOWN THERE?? (has a sensor in the lowest part of the front and in the back) its the most ANNOYING part to put it, its a pain to try to change songs or volume up/down when the audyssey its on the floor or on a low table, in addition the controller reception its poor VERY poor, thats the weak part of this fantastic dock, the rest its an amazing buy!Company answer questions good also, i needed to replace the controller so i contacted audyssey for it, cost me 10us plus 9us shipping, fast delivery and they toss me the aux cable for freeBTW: if u havent read the manual, please do it, u will find things that surely you hasnt discovered yet, for example the place where is the logo "AUDYSSEY" in the front works as volume up/down, Mute.

Lives Up to the Hype
This product was recommended to me by an audio engineer. I had never heard of Audyssey, but this gentleman insisted he had done the research and this was the dock he was going to get. Well, this engineer happened to be mixing a concert I was producing, so I waited to see how he mixed it. After determining that he really knew what he was talking about, I ordered it. When it arrived, it took almost a minute to set up, and I was blown away from the first note. The sound is pure, unfettered, and consistant across many genres. All of the controls are easily access from the front of the unit, but it also comes with a remote that controls the volume, can go back and forth through the tracks, and can also answer an iPhone if you have it docked to this unit. You can also make connections with a 3.5mm cord, a USB port, and the sound can be enhanced with the app you can download for free from the App Store in iTunes. This is sophisticated sound that can be equalized, then that equalization can be saved via your iPhone or iPod to be used again. This is probably not for someone that wants the thump of rap music, but I can tell you that the bass lines from a Bob Marley song don't suffer one bit. This is the sound of the music the way it was created.I looked at the Sounddock 10 by Bose, the Bower and Wilkens Zeppelin, and In my opinion, this dock is the clear winner.

Amazing Product, Excellent Customer Service
I'm fortunate to live near an Apple Store, so I was able to audition this speaker with my own music on my iPhone. In fact, I tried out all the speakers on display and none had better sound than the SOMA (and most had a far less satisfying sound). I downloaded the free Audyssey app, and was able to experiment with various settings. I found that, for my music (all ripped with Apple Lossless Encoding) I needed only slight tweaks of the tone controls, and didn't need the equalizer. And it sounded spectacular! Clean, tight bass, great midrange, and tight, crisp highs. For me, the Bluetooth speakerphone also works very well. Much like dedicated high-end speakerphones, the SOMA has a primary microphone on the front, and a second microphone on the rear for noise and echo cancellation. I'm on AT&T, and have had numerous conference calls using the SOMA and my iPhone 4. Everyone has been complimentary about the sound quality. One final - and important - point about Audyssey. Their customer service is outstanding! When I had issues with my unit, their customer service was very helpful and thorough in helping me troubleshoot the problem. Then Audyssey quickly replaced my SOMA, and the second unit works flawlessly.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Audyssey and the SOMA.
