Good germination period slow grown in the spring then in the summer requires lots of water and feed and the results are amazing cutting at 30mm probably the best seed so far as I put a new lawn from seed every year

Easy to spread and grows well - has taken a week or two but happy with results and have plenty left for over seeding after first cut. Would recommend.

Having tried an alternative and ended up with weeds and weed grass I am back to an old favourite. Ordered to arrive on Monday however, they tried to deliver the Saturday before and then again Sunday.

Seeded last week of Sep 21 after quite a heavy top dressing (70/30 - Sand/Soil) on the existing lawn which was also heavily scarified. Germination seen after 8 days followed by a slow and steady growth. Had that one horrible weekend early Oct where we had a torrential downpour non stop from morning till night which might have washed away some seeds. Otherwise so far so good, will overseed again in Spring to fill in gaps.

As a greenkeeper for two crown green bowling greens i purchased 20Kg of the A1 grade grass seed in early September 2020 and over reseeded a lot of thin and bare areas. Some of these going back to the dry summer of 2018, but never recovered even after this year not been on played much.Then went on holiday for three weeks, and wow !!! what a transformation on return every seed must have germinated and blended in well with the existing grass cannot tell where the bad bits were . Good stuff this and will recommend to any other greenkeepers.

The lawn is still settling after raising the bottom half of the lawn with twenty tons of top soil last year. Seeded and put a light dressing of sand and soil mix mid September 2023. I put up a fence to stop my Airedale going on the seed bed. Once the seed germinated I put the fence near the bottom otherwise she runs and goes crazy trying to chase birds/ squirrels. The picture is the result after just six weeks and has been mowed twice. The fence was no match for an Airedale!

Been sewing different seeds for 20 years, with a good success rate. Decided to opt for A1 ornamental on no traffic front lawn. 2 1/2 5kg bags later on a 25m2 area and results are shocking - bare patches, coarse and fine blades, extremely poor germination rate, despite using quality Norfolk top soil and tried and tested process. The grass is much worse than it was before I killed it all off to start again, which is extremely frustrating. A1 initially responded to my emails, but stopped when I asked for a refund. Don't buy - you'll be wasting your hard earned time and money!

The seed grows well if you prep the ground properly, took a few weeks to germinate but once it started went great guns - v pleased.
