Very Good Laptop!
My wife needed something different from the laptop that she had been wrangling, so I reset my touchscreen laptop and gave it to her. I purchased this CHUWI HeroBook on a whim mostly because of its price point. After using it for almost a month, I'm pleased with it!Pros:- Brilliant screen- 1080p resolution- Easy to upgrade to an additional larger SSD- No cooling fan noise- Fast startup- Long battery life- Large precision trackpad- Very responsiveCons:- Tinny sounding speakers (fixed by wearing headphones)- No ethernet port (fixed by purchasing a USB ethernet adapter)- No 10-key (not a con for me personally, but perhaps for you)- Not able to run Unreal Tournament or Fortnite (not a deal breaker, but still...)This is not a gaming laptop. Rather, it's a laptop for Uncle Daddy to use for browsing the Internet, composing emails, watching movies (1080p HD looks splendid!), and messaging friends and relatives. When attempting to play Fortnite even on the lowest graphics settings, gameplay was more helter skelter than Charles Manson himself.Microsoft Office runs as smoothly as one could desire. It and other programs load right up and march to the front. YouTube has videos on how to install an additional SSD using the very accessible port that's indicated on the bottom of the unit. It's easier to do than you might think, so if the small included SSD is offputting to you, get thee to yon Interwebz and purchase an M.2 SSD. Relax; you're soaking in it.10/10 would recommend!

The Battery
It looks nice and handles real good. But, if the battery runs low on your computer!!! that is the problem! The plug you insert to the computer will not connect! I have tried 2 and they still won't work. Forget this one!!!

Works well for the most basic of tasks.
It's cheap, and you get what you pay for. As long as that's what you're expecting, this is great! It handles basic tasks like light web browsing and email well enough, though it's very noticeably more laggy than a half-decent PC. Office work is good on it. The display is pretty sharp. Not the best colors ever, but acceptable. It's clear and has enough brightness. It also plays YouTube and Netflix well.Absolutely outstanding battery life, I was getting a solid 12 hours on every charge. It looks decent. I like the design, even if the material looks cheap. (Because it is)I ended up returning it because I'm just going to spend a little more and get something with an i5 or i7 that I can count on being enough for several years and do some more demanding tasks on, but if you just want the basics, this will do you well for a while. Would be a nice laptop to bring to college thanks to the VERY light weight and excellent battery. It'll get you through the entire day without even putting it to sleep. It feels like it's cheaply built though. It didn't break on me in the 2 months I used it, but I would advise you to not be overly rough with it. If you're shopping in this price range, that's expected though. It is what it is.

A very good laptop for home and office use
I received the laptop very quickly. three business days to Peru. The seller contacted me soon. A very kind guy who answered many questions I had, even technical. He offered and sent me the bag for the laptop. I bougt this laptop thinking in my daughter school homeworks, downloading and playing music and watching internet videos. The days i have the laptop I have used it in order to decide if I bought another one for my other child. I just can say i have bought a second one. I liked it since I opened the box. It has a nice look, it is light but solid, has full size keyboard with a good feeling when typing. Maybe you can see reviews talking about the screen or resolution. I can say it is ok. It has a good angle of vision and you do not se pixels. I have watched netflix, youtube and my own videos from my full HD camera and there is no problem. The windows 10 runs fast. I run the windows defender while opening webpages, office and watching netflix or youtube and I did not notice. I am not a gamer so I have not installed any heavy game but i did not buy it for that purpose. This is a well constructed machine, looks pretty, works fast enough for the use most people needs. It charges fast, the battery lasts more than 7 hours deppending on the use, the sd card port let he card completely inserted. Great customer service The guy helped me to decide which other chuwi product can I get for me. (when I get it I will write about)I just can say I recommend it.

Not Ready For Primetime
Your experience may be quite different, but setup and configuring this laptop may be troublesome for those not familiar with Win10 and hardware. The unit I received, out of the box, was a United Kingdom version but with a splattering of Chinese drive names, etc. After a few deep breaths, I managed to install Win 10 but the installation hung up and didn't proceed at the PIN setup page. If this happens to you, disconnect from the internet and restart the laptop. The installation should proceed and connecting to the internet can then be accomplished. Apparently there is a glitch in the Win10 installation on my particular Herobook which neither Chuwi nor Microsoft have fully addressed although the work-around did work.Changing the drive names from Chinese, configuring the settings, the proper time zone, and personalizing Win10 all went along without incident. After a few hours use, the Herobook seemingly settled in and performed well. For an everyday light to moderate use laptop, the Chuwi's adequate build, decent keyboard, trackpad, and 256G storage hits at a good value point but, out of the box at least for me, it wasn't ready for Primetime and required what I considered unnecessary time and effort.Update January 3, 2020: No longer boots up. Has become a paperweight. Waste of time having tried to get this up and running. Buh- bye, Chuwi!
