It is very well made and strong. It will need a bit of time to get softer but it really worthed.

Perfect for a bad back
This is my second one. I bought my first one and used it for my ibanez sr1405. It holds the bass in the perfect playing position. I played a gig this past weekend and took my Schecter Sixx Bass and used the strap. I adjusted to the perfect setting for this bass. The bass is very top heavy and heavy all together. But with this strap it made it very comfortable to play. The reason I bought a second one and why I am only giving it 4 stars is because it is difficult to adjust between basses. This is why I bought a second one. The strap is worth the money!!! No doubt about it, but if you have a large collection of basses you may need two of them to accommodate all your instruments.

comfort, adjustability
This is the best strap I have ever owned. After trying several wide, cushioned straps I could never get the correct feel. Problem solved! The recoil strap has the best shoulder cushioning and hangs perfectly. How many times have you grimaced over having to adjust your strap….taking off the strap lock, weaving it in and out only to find it still not right? Again...PROBLEM SOLVED. This strap is adjustable at BOTH ENDS! no removing strap lock, just a simple procedure. I love this strap,,Thank you Gruv Gear and David Ellefson!

Well made but available length is misleading
The strap seems well made. The length was an issue for me even though it should be long enough based on the listing. However, the center piece is intended to be fixed on your shoulder and then adjust the length on each end with movable straps. They are equal length, so to get the strap lower, there wasn't enough length in the back to have the instrument tilted up a bit. If both are lowered, I had to move the strap around to get the instrument at a playable angle which then brought the tough leather end up on the should instead of the padded part of the strap.

They don't honor their warranty.
I generally like the strap but one of the rivets came off at about a year and a half and I contacted them because they have a 2 year warranty. They said that wasn't covered and made me pay for new rivets for it. If you already own one you should probably put loctite on the rivets because they are screw-on and will come unscrewed. What sucks is I've owned it during Covid times and obviously haven't even gigged that much. I always share when I find a company that doesn't back their product with good service and they lost me as a customer.

Best Guitar Straps in the Business
This is my second guitar strap from Gruv Gear, I love their products and they make the best guitar straps in the business in my opinion. I'm also an owner of a Solo Strap and a Stadium bag...great products!!!

Heavy and digs into shoulder
I have two Gruv Gear Solo Neo straps and I'm pretty pleased with them. I'm a fan of David Ellefson and this strap looks very cool! I had to have one.I pre-ordered this strap directly from Gruv Gear before it was even released. On the day it arrived, I excitedly unpacked it and strapped on my bass. I spent about about 10 minutes adjusting it so my bass would sit exactly where I want it. But immediately I knew this strap was not going to work for me.First, it's well built but very heavy. It's made of thick leather, metal, and neoprene. It's seriously the heaviest strap I've ever held. When I'm playing a 4-hour gig, I want to minimize how much weight is hanging from my shoulder all night.Second, even though there is neoprene between my shoulder and the leather part of the strap, the upper adjustable "tongue" of the strap still digs into my shoulder. They should redesign this so that only the bottom end of the strap is adjustable. The end of that upper tongue sits in just the wrong place under the neoprene. The new Gruv Gear Patitucci strap looks more like what I have in mind.If you're looking for a nice affordable alternative, check out the Neotech Mega Bass Strap (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0714CKQ8W). It doesn't look as "metal" but it's much more comfortable.
