Been buying for years and years. Economical and works incredible well especially for Olympia water which stinks st times and taste awful.

This gets rid of bleach. It works for months. It allows water flow. pretty easy to install. it has nothing to do with softness. I am using these since 2010.

Great shower filter. We've been using this for two years now and couldn't be happier with it. My husband can really tell a difference in his dry skin, and I can tell a huge difference in my hair. I just ordered our third one, and they do seem to last right at a year. Both last year and this year, I got to a point where I realized that my curly hair was being frizzier and more difficult than usual to style. Only after realizing this did I think that maybe it was time to change our shower filter. Sure enough, I checked my Amazon orders and it had been exactly a year since I'd last ordered one! I always forget to reorder the filters, but my hair is good at reminding me. As soon as I changed the filter, my curls went back to being smooth and easy to style. We also use the shower head to fill the tub for our kids' baths so they aren't soaking in chlorine and other chemicals.

This really makes a huge difference for me. My skin and hair feel so much softer and I don't get irritated by the chlorinated water. I just ordered a replacement and got it in yesterday (1/22/15). I put the previous one in about 9 months prior. I was noticing my skin starting to get irritated and dried out again. Got the replacement, installed it, and it was "night and day." When reading the instructions, I saw that it says to flip the filter every 30 days (about once a month) for optimal flow. I forgot to do this on my previous one so I wonder if that affected the length of time it worked. So, remember to flip the filter! Lol The packaging says it can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months depending on water usage and amount if substance being filtered. I wouldn't say mine lasted even 9 months, though, because of how my skin was feeling irritated and dried out again (gradually) probably at least a few weeks or even a couple months before now changing it. That could have something to do with me forgetting to flip the filter, or it could be that the water where I live is just really bad... which it is. All in all, it's a great product, easy to install/uninstall (for filter changes), and doesn't take up much room. I recommend it!

The recommendation for this shower filter is roughly 1 year. However, since the apartment complex I live in has MAJOR levels of chlorine I actually have to change this every 6-8 months for a household of just 2 people. I have very sensitive skin so buying this was one of the best decisions I've made. This brand is great, it filters out all the chlorine and provides such a greater showering experience. There is an indicator letting you know when to replace the filter (when the entire deposits turn from gold to black). In addition to this filter, I found another great trick to help moisturize and leave your skin feeling great is also installing a Vitamin C filter on top of that. Combine with both of those tips you skin feels great even after a hot shower with the softness of moist skin without any type of lotion.

You notice a difference, skin and hair is much softer. This has always been my to-go filter and stands against those subscription filters which are wayyyy to expensive and don't filter out as much.

I got my first one years ago to get the chlorine out and it works great. When I'm traveling and using a shower without on now, I can smell the chlorine because I'm so used to not smelling it at home. It also cleans the water enough to cut down on my shower scrubbing frequency, so the time I save and the equivalent money is way more than the price of this, so it's a great ROI too. I turn it around every 6 months and it lasts a whole year! Highly recommend!

I have been using these filters for a number of years and although they don't last as long as I would like, they do a great job leaving the hair and skin smooth and clean. Our water lines need cleaning and this does a great job in the meantime. I also travel with it and use my sprite-hoc shower filter where ever possible.
