Decent but not full protection. Makes the fingerprint reader a bit more fiddly but still usable
The has a lip over the front of the screen giving some but not full protection to the front in case of drop. The case is made from 2 pieces and I suspect the black part might snap over time, especially if the stand is used regularly. The gap for the fingerprint reader is okay but it does make it a little more fiddly to unlock the phone, but still perfectly usable.

Great case
I had one of these for my old Sony Z5 and the case was excellent, so I looked for the same case to suit the s10e. Found this case and I'm not disappointed. The stand on the back is very useful.
