Pioneer Photo Albums 622500 High Capacity Photo Album, 500 Memo Pockets, Black and Beige

I love these albums. The pages are large so you can group together 5 pictures per page, and 10 per spread. I like that there are vertical and horizontal slots on each page. I buy a new one every January and put together all the photos from the previous year. I set some of these out at our wedding for people to look through. They are handsome, sturdy, and durable. I also like that there's space on the binding to write the year. I bought a metallic paint pen and it shows up great against the black. These are heirloom quality. I expect to buy them for years.

Do you have lots of pictures in a box or maybe you are like me and you have many small family albums that have seen better days? Pioneer's high capacity photo album is an aesthetically pleasing and functional storage solution for those errant pictures and disintegrating old albums. The pages are well made and hold three horizontal pictures and two vertical ones, or any combination of smaller pictures. Some of my late 19th and early 20th century pictures are 2.25" x 2.25", so the slots fit two comfortably and hold them in place quite well. Most of my photography is in the digital realm now, but if I come upon more pictures in a box, or tattered album I would most definitely buy another one of these. Now I can see all the pictures I have, even the ones I don't really want to........a mullet with pastel pants and an argyle vest, what was I thinking in the Eighties?

I bought this album from Amazon after researching the available options for a few days. I was looking for a high capacity album with a simple, chic look that would be fairly durable. This photo album fit the bill. The album cover is very durable and has a high quality feel. I also love how it looks in person. I was afraid the beige would be too yellow but it is a subtle muted tan - which is much easier on the eyes than the photo here suggests. The pages are slightly above the standard quality. Thick archival white paper makes up the body of the pages and standard clear plastic sheeting makes up the covering for each photo pocket. All slots are 4x6, as described. I love having the landscape and portrait orientations - definitely a loved detail. The plastic pockets are a little flimsy, but I've yet to find a photo album that does not utilize this plastic sheeting, so it was what I expected. I was just a little more careful when inserting my photos; it seems that the plastic sheeting will endure through storage and perusing the contents of the album after it is filled. The album is not terribly heavy after being completely filled - which is fantastic. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I think it will preserve, store, and showcase my photos well. I would recommend this item to friends and I will probably buy another one soon.

I have purchased 3 of these albums. There are 5 slots on each page, and 2 of them are vertical. I do not take many vertical photos, so I can put two horizontal photos into the vertical slots and simply rotate the album to view them. Slightly inconvenient, but not an issue for me. The plastic slots are thin, and there could be a possibility of tearing them if one is not careful. I have only filled 1/2 of one of the albums, and have not had any tears, so I believe they are more sturdy than they seem. I still have nearly 1,000 photos to put into the other two albums, and it is a bit tedious getting them centered into the slots, but again not an issue for me. The album itself is sturdy and attractive.

I read all the reviews on this product before I purchased it. Here's what I have to say: most of the criticisms were correct, HOWEVER, this photo album works if you don't put it together like a jackass. The pictures will fall out of the vertical slots if you don't push them all the way in and to the very bottom of the slot where the picture allotment ends. Don't buy the photo album if you don't have the time to sit down and make it work, you will break the plastic if you rush through it. Push the pictures to the bottom where the slots are separated, I'll post a picture. This is definitely worth the time and money and works perfectly if you have common sense.

This is a nice looking binder, but the clear photo pockets are not well made. They are heat welded with a small area in two places for each pocket. They easily come apart, meaning that the photos may not stay in place. The horizonal pockets are open on both ends - not optimal for keeping photos in place. I'm not returning it, but would not buy this brand again.

I purchased this photo album because of its massive 500-photo storage capacity. It's very sturdy and comes with a clear plastic cover, so I'm not too worried about it breaking over time or getting dirty. The pages are thick and can fit 5 photos on one side. The layout is 3 landscape photos near the binding and 2 portrait photos near the edge of the page. I personally like this album because we live in the age of selfies, so it's nice that I'm able to view them without having to cock my head to the side or flip the album sideways. For those who like to write memos for when and/or where the picture was taken, there is strip of lined space in between the landscape and portrait photo layout to write. It doesn't give you much room, but it's better than nothing. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. The price is decent for such a large capacity photo album.

Compre recientemente el album, y dejenme decirle que esta super bien, aunque es mas grade de tamaño que lo esperado, pero biene muy bien, por dentro cada pagina trae espacio para 5 fotografias por pagina, 3 horizontales y 2 vertical, ademas en la parte de a medias, trae un espacio como para agregar notas a lo largo de toda la hoja, trae un forro de plastico el exterior, que sirve para cuidar las portadas del album, lo unico que llego la primer hoja rota un pedazito muy chico, quizas donde lo empacaron no se fijaron ya que un carton cubre esa parte pero de alli en fuera todo bien , muy bonito album gigante para guardar todas las fotos en uno solo.

This product doesn’t even deserve one star. The plastic sleeves are not properly secured into the album so they slide around and fall out. In addition, they are open on both sides so when you turn the pages of the album the photos, large and small fall out. I wanted the album to be able to write names & dates for my historic family photos, but I don’t recommend this album for any photos.

I like this photo album. I bought one to try and i loved it then i ordered two more. It is really perfect for my 4x6 pictures. I would love to by more in the future.
