GREAT TOOL !!!
I had a track clip come off on my 2014 Skidoo TNT track after the track clips stuck solid on a new set of slides in low snow conditions. I did not want to bring the sled to a dealer for only one missing track clip. I also did not want to remove the track to replace one track clip. This tool did the job!! I attached a come-along to the rear of my sled and picked it up off the floor of my shed. I rotated the track so that the section of track with the missing clip was half way around the idler wheel near the mud flap. I inserted the clip then I inserted each half of the tool through the openings in the track, re-atached the tool, then squeeze it on. Very simple. Works great for an occasional missing clip. I am not sure how it would work if I had to do an entire track!! But its fast and simple compared to track tools I have used in the past.

3 clips away from 5 stars
I was 3 clips away from giving this 5 stars. Then it broke. One of the pivot pins sheared off. I had to drill it then put in a 1/4" grade 8 bolt. It was easy to use and to be far I had installed 20 or so clips and re-crimped every other clip on the track. It is easy to use, quick and cheap just be ready to upgrade the pivots.

Great tool once you get the hang of it.
Once you get the hang of using it, this is a great tool! I have not had the same issue as others where the pins broke after a few clips. I have installed 30 clips so far without a problem. I wanted a tool I could use without having to remove the track (although that would have made the process much easier). I loosened the track and removed the drive belt to rotate the track easily. It is a bit frustrating at first, but once you develop a method for retaining the clip properly on the track while inserting the tool (is in 2 parts at this point) you can move much more quickly. Be very careful to get the clip placed properly on the track before making your final "clamp." I found that once installed, my clips appeared to be installed better than some of the ones that came on the track originally. Will probably take this tool and some extra clips on every trip now just in case.

A Good Well Made Snowmobile tool
We bought this tool to replace 15 track slide clips on an Arctic Cat F6 snowmobile. No reviews on it so I was not sure how well it would work. But the local dealerwanted at least $80 for labor to do the job so we decided to order the tool. This tool works very well. It's well made from laminated steel plates rivetedtogether. No instructions included. The tool separates at the top so you insert both ends in the track window, hook ittogether around the new clip and then squeeze the clip on the track. It does take practice to hook the tool ends together inside the track without havingthe new clip fall out. You will get frustrated on the first 4-5 clips, but after that youget better. Tool provides good leverage to squeeze the clip fully. We installed 15 clips in about 40 minutes, and that includes the learning timeto use the tool. It was a good purchase.

Won't hold up
Tool Pins broke after the 4th clip- replaced with a sholdered bolt and tool just gave up after 20 clips- Positive side- it's easy to use but not worth the investment.. I would not buy agin

Works great!
Worked great to finish clipping the OEM track. Rest one handle on a 4x4 so you can push down with two hands, makes it easier to get the clips on tight.

did one track
i used this on my 2017 polaris axys 163. it took 55 clips to fix the mistake polaris made by not clipping the lugs. the tool was easy to use with the sled hanging out of the back of the truck. i'm not sure the pins will hold as they did loosen a little on the hinged side of the tool but i'll just fix that if it does break.
