Got this as a Christma gift for my 25 year old son. He had a blast with it. I think it will be the beginning of a New hobby.

Not as much bang for the buck as I would expect.
The cannon is very nicely made. The machining is very good. It works better than the micro cannon I bought. That one wouldn't go bang no matter what I tried. This one will make a good bang, but not as good as I expected from the description. I have a lot of experience with firearms and gunpowder since I've reloaded pistol and rifle ammo for years. My experience with black powder and equivalents such as Pyrodex is limited to a 1/20 scale Napoleon cannon I've had for years. Now that will wake up the neighbors and shoot a lead ball several hundred yards. I found that I had to use much more powder than was indicated. I used Pyrodex P fffG, Hogdons Triple Se7en and American Pioneer Powder fffG . The Hogdon's is the finest grain and the American Pioneer the coarsest. I found that using the American Pioneer and packing the powder fairly tightly and filling the barrel so that there is just enough room to get the pellet completely into the barrel worked. That gave me a fairly good bang and shot the pellet across the room with force enough to penetrate a paper target, but would only dent a cardboard box. I also tried grinding the coarse powder to a very fine particle size, and this worked without as much packing. The American Pioneer powder was tested vs the Pyrodex and Hogdon's Triple Se7en by lighting equal sized very small piles of each powder and comparing the speed of the burn. The American Pioneer was by far the fastest burning powder as it came out of the container. It bang it made wasn't loud enough to necessitate wearing hearing protection which I did the first two times, but then tried without it and had no ringing ears or saying "huh?" more than usual. So if I'm missing something or doing something wrong, I'd appreciate hearing about it. I used Crossman pellets that were like a semi-wadcutter profile. The tip was flat with a slight flange around the perimeter. The back end flared out to the correct diameter. I found that they fit somewhat loosely into the barrel and on later trials I would use a pin punch to slightly flare out the skirt at the back so that there was a tighter fit in the barrel. This gave the best results I could get. Like I said, if someone did something different and got better results, I like to hear about it. On my cannon, the barrel measures .188 inches and the pellets are .185 inches at the widest part of the skirt (tail end). If I find something that works better, I'll update my review.

worthless piece of crap.
Absolutely terrible, I got maybe 5 shots out of it, before it quit firing, and it didnt shot very hard at all, didn't even dent an aluminum can also spent about 10 minutes after every shot just cleaning it then it just quit working the fuse quit igniting the powder absolute waste of money no fun at all do not buy.

yes and no
One would think that if your spending 30+ dollars for this item it would also come with 10 wicks 10 bb's some wad and powder. so now i have 2 that i bought at once and cant even use them without buying more stuff. i feel like i bought a car with no tires. BUT they are cool just wish i could use it
