Nice light switch, with sleek glass finish. Seemless Alexa integration
TIP: you will need a deep wall plate to accommodate the back of the switch.TIP: you will require a neutral wire.As part of my smart home upgrades, ive moved onto light switches. As Alexa is my main house controller it's important that they integrate with her and this does.If you have deep wall plates and a neutral wire, setup is easy, just wire it up blue wire to N (Neutral), brown wire to L (Live) and screw it back onto your wall.If you dont have a neutral it will require a bit more electrical knowledge and you will probably need professional help. There are online videos available at own risk. The switch looks fantastic, it's a smooth touch glass plate that looks really futuristic and expensive. To setup.Instal appAdd deviceTurn light on off on off on. Leave a second gap once light goes on or off. It will then blink continuously. You select your WiFi add password if it not there.Wait for the device to be found.Name the device. That it easy.To setup with alexa is also easy. Especially now Alexa has Improved it's integration. Once you add it to the app, Alexa sent me a notification to say it had discovered and found my new device, so I didnt have to do anything. If you found my review useful please consider giving me a helpful vote and perhaps a follow for future reviews. Many thanks

Nice switch - sort of
A well made and packaged item for the money. What lets this product down is the lack of detail about it before purchase. To fit this switch you may need to buy a new back box for it to mount in. If you have a standard 25mm backbox then you will need to change this as the depth of the rear of the switch is greater, plus you will need room for your cables to exit out of the rear of the switch. A 35mm back box will be enough. Before you buy the switch or backbox, you will want to check (or get a electrician to check) that your wall cavity can take a 35mm backbox. Don't forget to turn of your appropriate lighting ring before removing any switches etc.The screws provided for mounting this switch to the backbox are the wrong size for a UK backbox so don't lose the ones you have from your original backbox if changing. The instructions for this switch, wiring or connecting to network/Alexa is woeful on both accounts.Wiring up - easy enough, however...if you have never wired up probably a good number of light switches before or spent 2 years learning to be a electrician then now is not the time to try. If you think that you can just follow the diagram provided in the instructions then very good luck to you.Alexa - simple like getting most things connected to an Alexa is. The instructions I think make it all the more confusing due to how badly they have been wrote. If you are not used to connecting smart/WiFi devices to your network or Alexa then better just to ask a teenager. When all connected up it works like it should through the app or Alexa. I think the "Maxcio" writing on the bottom of the switch is already annoying me as it makes what should be a nice indiscrete switch stand out a lot so may change this for another brand that does not have their name on the faceplate. For this product maybe Amazon should include in their "frequently bought together section"35mm backbox for fittingElectrician for wiringTeenager for connecting to Alexa

Works Great once set up - still gets 5 stars
MAIN POINT: This works perfectly once set up, it runs on time for timers and is easy for manual use and integration with Alexa. And for this price you cannot go wrong - the electrician who installed this (we use it for our outdoor lighting) was shocked as the value when a normal switch (non-smart switch) isn't much cheaper. The Downside: Note I still give this 5 stars, for the above reason, but you need to be aware of this issues: I've had to set this up twice as we changed Wi-fi (the Smart Life app needs resetting for all devices when you do this, not a fault with this product). The issue, which may be the app or the device, is that it doesn't always find the device, and when it does it won't be because you've done anything different, just luck! Its a pain and not a simple set up, but like I said, once set up you'll never notice it again.

Smart Light
Beautiful looking light switch.Easy to wipe down and clean.Very sleek and futuristic minimal design.Unfortunately, my house did not contain a neutral wire in the lighting so I couldn’t use, so I donated it to my parents.Installation was easy, instructions were clear and if you know how to change a socket/switch.Alexa set up takes minutes as does the app, after that its all done, and you can play around with all the settings and features. The timer and schedule feature are great as a deterrent for thieves and is useful as a wake-up aid.My parents love it and are going to over time replace all their switches. I like it too but unfortunately I’ve not got the wiring for it.A much better solution than smart bulbs especially if you have multiple bulbs per light.

2 gang smart light switch
Fitted loads of these smart light switches and they all wire up the same but if your not to sure take photos of everything before you start taking wires out and if needs put different coloured tape around the wires so that you know were they all came from. Easy to set up in the app and my Alexa devices found it ok the only proble it seems to have is that Alexa will only turn both switches on and off at the same time and not separately but google manages to turn them on and of separately and together. So if your looking for a smart switch it is not a bad item but I have brought some that was cheaper that wire the same but set up with Alexa better.

Good switch but finicky
Pretty good when you tinker around with it enough.Best tip is to not screw it down too hard, it affects the button which is quite fragile. Also there is a slot at the bottom that you can use to pry it off itself rather than damaging the wall.Pairing doesn't always work but keep persisting with the app and it'll be fine.Max wattage is really 600w it seems. Would not trust with 2200w
