I bought this book for my husband s birthday,he loves it. He says there is lots of interesting information in it.He has spent hours reading the article in it.

This is a wonderful compendium with beautiful photos and well written text. Highly recommended! It is a marvelous giftor magazine for your coffee table.

If you are the kind of person who loves reading and discussing mysterious and unusual things in our world, you might want to pick up a copy of this excellent "National Geographic 100 Greatest Mysteries Revealed" Time Inc. Special issue. This 128 page full color magazine is beautifully illustrated and briefly gives a summary of the particular mystery which will leave you with wanting to know more about it.This publication is organized into five sections. Section one explores "Civilizations" of numerous cultures. The second section deals with religion, myth, and the supernatural. The "Living World" is covered in section three. Section four explains the mysteries surrounding "Natural Forces" of our planet and the universe. The final section explores numerous "Vanishings" that are considered mysterious and unexplained.I read this excellent volume cover to cover in the evening because it was so interesting; however, my favorite section was section four because it covered my favorite topics such as the origins of the universe, gravity, dark matter, time travel and many other fascinating subjects. My only complaint is that it only provides a brief summary and on many of the topics I wanted to read a more in depth article. Nevertheless, reading this publication may encourage a person to seek out further information on many of these topics, and that is a good thing.In conclusion, if you are seeking a brief overview of 100 interesting mysteries, you should check out this publication.Rating: 5 Stars. The majority of the revelations are reduced to speculation, no evidence remaining, unknown answers, limited findings, unfound proof, reasons not entirely clear, skeptical critics, persisting legends with no validity, lost traces, still under study, remaining enigmas...these are the authors words. At least it is not loaded with advertisements. But don't expect to find any a-hah in these misrepresented revelations because there are none. I'll just slip this in my library return box rather than just trash it.
