Small Spy Hidden Camera,Rettru HD Portable IP Security Camera with Motion Detection,Cloud Storage,Remote Monitoring for iOS/Android Phone APP

Hi I have one of the Camera that is not accessible to setup when I check to return it unfortunately I have realized it is too late but it still remain in my possession like brand new just wish to replace it if the seller would like to do that because I have not had time to set them up until today on 18th November even my return limit is overdue please reach out to me if something is possible!? But the product is wonderful and Functional until one of my package is default broken from the factory .

I am an engineer and needed a camera like this for work I do to document. But I tried everyday possible and could not get this thing to work. I reset it, thinking it was a return and linked to another phone or Wi-Fi but to no avail. I love the idea and the ability to use USB from a wall adapter, computer or rechargeable pack. But it just doesn’t work. Other reviews said it was a black and white video, which I don’t want anyway, but it never worked to find out. I will be sending this back. The advertisement seems to make it out to be much more versatile. But it just doesn’t link to phone(iPhone) or Wi-Fi to use it in any way. I don’t want another one, I can’t used black and white video anyway.

First, the Amazon product comparison grid indicates that this has night vision. It does not. That is probably not the camera manufacturers fault.Second, the phone app is riddled with ads. Literally, the opening screen is one full page ad linking to some external web page with a tiny little click area at the top to continue with the app (It is designed to mislead!)

If you have 30-40 dollar expectations for this camera, you'll like it. If your expecting 100-300 dollar experience... Keep searching.The benefits: Data storage is VERY efficient, and I can get several days straight of video on a 32 GB card (it supports up to 128gb).The image quality is great... When nothing is moving. Moving distorts the image, so if you're expecting a face shot of your prospective burglar this isn't going to work the best.The camera is very small and efficient. Can almost hide anywhere.Now for the down sides:The APP that goes with it is clunky and I don't enjoy interacting with it.The physical files saved on the SD card don't timestamp correctly (the video itself has a proper time stamp, the save date on the file does not).Any movement of the camera will set off the motion detector... Even something as simple as a fan blowing in it's direction.Do I recommend the camera? ... Yes and no. If your priority is to have a lot of video saved in a compact package, yes this is good.If your expecting Instagram quality photos to show to the cops? No.

There are sooo many mixed reviews on this camera. Once you understand what the directions are saying, it is quite easy to set up. Picture is great (for the price). This is not 4K. However if you want a 4K security camera pony up the $$$$ they are not cheap. I have been able to install, and connect two of these and put them on split screen on my phone. You can use it on your computer, but you need an Android emulator. Again, once you figure it out it is good. Hint, when you run the program on the emulator for the first time it will look like it is locked up. You need to swipe the screen to the left twice (like on a phone) with your mouse. That will take you the the "next" screen where you set it all up. You can find the same one here on Amazon for much cheaper, they are the exact same. Most of the complaints (other than not working) are not understanding how to set it up. Yes it works on Android 10 or above. I am running on a one plus 8T. Good luck!

The app asks for all sorts of permissions that it has no business needing. Always on location? Why? I didn’t even want the app, I only wanted to record to SD card, but it didn’t work until I installed the app and configured it.The quality is poor. The resulting video files are 720p, but are upsampled from standard def. Super pixelated.Using a high speed memory card that I use to shoot 4k video with a DSLR, about 20% of videos are unusable. The avi files have bad indexes. You can use software to re encode them if you know what you’re doing, but that’s a ridiculous problem for a security camera with hundreds of short clips.The neck is nowhere near as flexible as the images show. I could bend it about 90 degrees, but it would slowly drift back to 45 unless I held it in place with something.

Great little camera... I have it to help me watch my grandkids in my basement

EDIT******OK SO THE SELLER SENT ME A REPLACEMENT THAT WORKS PERFECTLY SO I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE....only the new one I bought is completely different than the replacement that works flawlessly. this new one has buttons on the side and does NOT have wifi. thats right zero wifi. so it is NOT as advertised and I will send it back. How can they screw up so often but also have a perfect product? so strange.First off this little guy was awesome for 10 min! All the features worked exactly how advertised and loved the motion sensor capabilities and the target zones and the alarm feature! It can do tons of things actually but the once I glided through setting it up I was ready to go so I put it in position and bent the little bendy arm and POW the damn thing lost power and hasn’t powered up since. Would love a replacement that is designed to bend not break. Hey seller, if you read these reviews….. I loved the camera so much but mine just quit after bending is ever so slightly and gently yet it no longer powers on?! Is that normal?

The QR code is not working at all to take you to app and when I downloaded the app separately it doesn't register at all, sorry it's just crap .

Useless - Stupid.This has no power supply, it only works when plugged into a USB port.So you need to have a laptop running when you use this - you don't need this - you can record on your laptop.

Needs to be plugged in for power, App is covered in ads, needs your location and wifi passwords to connect, can’t find mi wifi network so can’t connect. So in short it’s useless
