Q: if u live nj nyc area what mixture do i do for one gal of water?

The bottle I have recommends 4 oz of concentrate to 60 oz of water which will freeze at 26 degrees F. This bottle is distributed by BMW. At 4 oz concentrate to 28.5 oz water the mix will freeze at 20 degrees F. Here in Minnesota during Dec to March I use 8 oz concentrate to 12 oz Water for a freeze point of -25 F. I think in New York this would be overkill.

Q: Can I use this on Mercedes Benz?

Yes! I used it without any issues. Its better than the stuff Mercedes wants you to use. There are some fluids that will cause the float to sink. Mercedes are sensitive to specific gravity I guess. Don’t use distilled water to mix either

YES, THIS IS FLAMMABLE. says on the bottle. But all fairness in the car after adding 4 oz to 30 or 60 oz of water i would not worry. But storing it YES be careful. I have this product and it works great . Don't store it in the car!

How long do you intend to own the car and do you live in a cold or mild climate. I have been buying them "in bulk," but I live in a wintery climate. For one fill in a warm-ish climate one bottle will get you through a year (mixed with ~30 ounces of water). If they salt your roads during the winter and you have the ever-present white haze for months on your car and intend to keep the car awhile buy a dozen (~$7.91/ bottle when purchased in that quantity). If you have a friend or family member who has a BMW split a 12-pack. I like to have extra bottles around and I keep one in the car during the winter. Don't use any other brand washer fluid or else algae build-up will clog your windshield washer pump and you will have pull your reservoir and pump from the wheel well to clean it up and that will take you a couple of hours to sort out and the problem to decide to manifest itself when there is unpleasant weather.
