I realized recently that I have been buying iVanky cables for a while and while this review is of a particular cable, almost everything I have to say about it could be said about all of those cables. The one particular comment about this one is that unlike many full-size Display Port connectors, this one does not have the button you have to push to remove it. I realize that this is meant to ensure that the cable doesn't fall out or easily get pulled out accidentally, but I find those buttons amazingly annoying to get pressed fully on the monitor side, and I don't see them as necessary: the connectors fit snugly enough that it's going to be awfully difficult to accidentally pull one out. However, if you like those buttons, this may not be the cable for you.In general, I like about this and other of their cables:1) They have braided cables and they feel tough - I feel confident they won't be easily damaged.2) They come in multiple colors. That seems like a trivial thing but when you have a bunch of systems on a very large desk (as in 6 ft by 4ft) it's nice not to have every cable be the same color. (I feel the same way about ethernet cables: I have them in many colors as it's so much easier to trace them when mixed with other cables.3) All of their cables have what I'll call a 'collar' around the cable where it attaches to the connector. These collars are designed to provide extra strength and keep a cable that is pulled to the side from eventually wearing away at the connector.4) They look nice, and are reasonably priced.

I obtained a used 4K monitor a couple months ago. It was blacking out periodically until I obtained a new cable. Then, I upgraded my graphics card and needed an adapter dongle for that cable. The blackout glitches returned. I am guessing it was caused by the quality of the dongle because this new cable (no dongle required) hasn't hiccupped once since I installed it a couple days ago. It's a cheap fix for an annoying problem.Cable quality is excellent, wrapped. The two end plugs are hefty. It gets the job done at an amazing price point!

August 2023:I bought this in late 2021 for connecting a Mac Pro trashcan with miniDisplayPort to a 27in monitor. It is a nice thick sturdy cable that's been flawless since then.Last week, I thought the monitor died... so I did some cable swapping and discovered that the Ivanky cable had died, which is weird since nothing on my desktop had been moved. Since I needed to get up and running again, I bought a different cable and had it delivered the next day.Then out of curiosity, I contacted Ivanky and explained what happened. They asked some basic questions about the equipment and then offered a full refund! Now that IS customer service! It was totally unexpected and very much appreciated.I'll be replacing my home system in November, and when I do, I'll be sure to use that refund on an Ivanky HDMI cable. Any company that stands by their products deserves a shout out. They've won my confidence!

Works as it should.

Cable appears to be of good quality material however the picture quality is not satisfactory as colors on my monitor appear pale. I tried different color modes and they all seem to lack depth. I use mac pro with samsung wide screen.Update:Seller contacted me to resolve the issue. I appreciate support and immediate action which resolved my issue.
