Almost Perfect
I just recently purchased a Kindle Paperwhite 2 and after a couple of weeks with it, I realized I would need a case to protect it, preferably one with the auto on/off feature so I don't have to fumble with the button on the bottom to lock/wake the PW. It was a tough decision as I originally looked at the Fintie Kindle Paperwhite SmartShell Case - The Thinnest and Lightest Leather Cover for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (Both 2012 and 2013 Versions with 6" Display and Built-in Light), Brown , the Fintie Blade X1 Kindle Paperwhite Case - Premium Protective Smart Shell Leather Cover for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (Both 2012 and 2013 Versions with 6" Display and Built-in Light) , Black , and the OMOTON Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Case Cover -- The Thinnest and Lightest PU leather Case Cover for Kindle Paperwhite (Both 2012 and 2013 versions with 6" Display and Built-in Light), Black . I wasn't about to spend $40 for the official case by Amazon. I looked at an Amazon case at a local Best Buy and was impressed with the leather exterior, but not the interior--it had a very cheap look and feel to it, in my opinion. I was going to get the Fintie SmartShell orignally, but then I saw this case and I had to have it. I'm very happy with this case, but it's not without its faults. I'll explain this by weighing the pros and cons.Pros:--Premium PU Leather (yes, it's not real leather, but it looks and feels very much like the real deal)--Auto On/Off works perfectly--Once the case is closed, magnets do their job in keeping it closed--PW snaps into the plastic shell easily (I found it easiest to take one side of the PW and press the corners into the shell, and likewise with the other side)--Inside front cover (the part touching the PW's front when the case is closed) is very nice to the touch (I think it might be suede)--Looks expensive, but isn't (it only cost me $11.95--the Fintie cases and the OMOTON case are around $14-$16)Cons:--Front of case doesn't align with the shell perfectly (this is probably intentional, as the case doesn't have a tab like the Fintie Smartshell and the OMOTON case have)--Front of case can move around if the case is vertical--Once the PW is in the shell, good luck getting it out (I tried to take the PW out, but only succeeded in freeing the bottom left corner)--Inside portion of front magnet can become scratched (both magnets are not embedded and can rub together, unlike the offerings by Fintie and OMOTON)There were two other gripes I had with this case (I didn't list them as cons because it could just be my case, but I think they're worth mentioning).First, when you get the case, there is a blue strip that completely covers the front magnet. There's nothing wrong with that as it protects the front magnet from being scratched by the shell magnet during transport. You should remove this strip as not doing so causes the magnets to not attract and the case to not close. My gripe with this strip is that it's a scratch off (you don't have to completely scratch off the strip, but you have to scratch off at least a little of it, and then you can peel off the rest). It goes without saying that you can really do a number on the front magnet if you're not careful.Second, there was something sticky on the back of the case (on the shell part near the magnets). This wasn't too serious; however, as I was able to remove it with dish soap on a damp cloth. All things considered, I would recommend this case. It's a great case, even if it isn't perfect.

Buy this instead. Excellent cover at less than half the price of you-know
I'm surprised this cover hasn't gotten more reviews, with at least 4 stars. And, that person who gave a bad review, stating it's not ultra slim and looks and feels cheap is lying. That same bad review also stated that $17.95 is only "just relatively cheap(er)" than $39.99?! Oh, well, I guess the same relative measurement was used when stating that this case is "not ultra slim by any stretch".This coffee colored leather case is hard and thin and hugs the kindle like a glove. Once the kindle was in place, I had a hard time getting it out. It's not being held down by straps on the corners or pockets all around it to keep it in place. The hard thin shell securing it on the sides is molded to fit it perfectly. So, it's very slim and with a magnetic front cover, too. This case is constructed pretty much just like the case touted by amazon which cost $39 -about 1/3 of the cost of the paperwhite unit itself! Which is Absurd. This is possibly my 5th kindle and this time I refuse to get suckered into the fancy video ad by amazon, and the fancy reviews by professionals. My iPhone5 cost over $600, and apple didn't sell me a $200 case for it. I'm about to get the $864 iPhone5s and still apple doesn't sell me a $200 case! So, I'm glad I found this paperwhite kindle case. Although this product doesn't give you the options of the beautiful kind of colors offered by Amazon, this coffee colored case still looks elegant and classy. It doesn't scream: "I'm a kindle"!! It's simple, but, whenever I pull it out of my LV bag, nobody ever questions whether or not this case is cheap :D Another great plus, I always leave it out on my desk in the office, and everyone's eyes just passes over it, thinking it's just another old fashion calendar diary :) Also, It's been tossed around inside my gym bag a couple of times- it still functions like new.I think of the paperwhite kindle as Reasonably Priced. So, it should follow that it be paired with a case that is reasonably priced as well. These two go well together.Ps. If you want to check out other colors, you have to type in August leather case in the search bar for SOME of it to come up. Otherwise, you're stuck in overpriced amazon cases and that outrageous "Amazon" USB power adapter. On that note, if you need a USB power adapter, don't buy it here. You're better off at an apple store. Sometimes they have extras in the back and if you ask, they give it out for FREE. They're used, they got a tiny green circular sticker, and they're not emblazoned with "Amazon", but, who cares? You already got a Kindle.

Decent case for Kindle Paperwhite.
For the price, not bad at all. looks and feel elegant and expensive. Very well built. Kindle fit perfectly in the plastic slot inside with easy access to charging and power button. Its hard case, I am sure its very protective in case it drops on floor. Best part is the ease of use when reading. Auto shut off and on is great little feature. Front cover folds back for easy one hand reading.Cons: Only bad part is front cover is slightly bigger and not aligned with back case. But not a problem, does not look bad.

NOT ULTRASLIM AS CLAIMED IN DESCRIPTION
Let me start with saying the functionality is good and it looks durable. NOw 2 things -1.> this cover is only relatively cheap than Amazon OEM cover. But it is certainly not cheap when you weight it against itself. The price could be lower for the quality provided.2.> It is not ultra slim by any stretch (which is not a bad thing unless you advertise incorrectly). I have seen Samsung OEM cover for P6800 tablet and would call that as slim. One might argue it is not as pricey as Samsung but the point is it should not claim to be something it is not.

Flawed but nice case
This is a nice case with a couple minor issues, the front cover is slightly wider than the back cover, so it doesn't meet evenly when closed, and the magnetic closure is not strong enough to keep the cover closed. The kindle is held very securely in the case (removing it is actually tricky, but I found it could be fairly easily removed by pulling the corners by the spine off the kindle first, then it slides out from the other edge easily)
