- Standard UNSWITCHED B22 (22mm) bayonet cap Lamp Holder with shade ring - suitable for bulbs up to 200W (for SWITCHED B22 version, ElekTek Safety Switch available in separate listing which cuts power to the plunger contacts when a bulb in not in place)
- Hand assembled - easy to separate for fitting: simply remove the thin upper shade ring by unscrewing anti-clocwise; hold base with the Earth terminal pinched between thumb and index finger and unscrew thicker lower ring by unscrewing anti-clockwise. When re-assembling ENSURE ceramic insert is aligned correctly in base & body alignment slots are aligned with ceramic insert
- Internal locking screw mounted in a separate riveted & threaded base ensuring your lighting does not come apart with use (beware of cheaper, pressed type bases that cannot carry a locking screw) - loosen screw, thread onto existing threaded fitting and tighten locking screw before wiring
- This 22mm BC (bayonet connector) lamp holder is intended primarily for attachment to a male 10mm or 1/2" threaded tube

Looks good
Looks good and seems a decent quality , I bought this to make a lamp from reclaimed wood and copper pipe and the brass is a good look , 1 downfall is the earth connection is on the top which in my opinion will cheapen the final finish

Could be dangerous
Seems like a dangerous design compared to others on the market, no safety feautures to stop the internal conductors being permanently live when there is no bulb inserted, another lamp holder purchased in store for the same price includes a kill switch which prevented the conductors being live when no bulb is inserted. Won’t be using the holders for this reason.

Well made, nice ceramic insert ............
.........so won't melt or crack with higher wattage bulbs or halogen bulbs which run very hot. Didn't use the lock screw as I worried about it creating a sharp edge and digging into the live cable, just locked it on the 10mm thread mount with superglue

Doesn't work
I bought a lamp wiring kit and a spare in case of problems. I wired everything correctly, I went to switch it on, nothing. I checked the fuse, I checked the switch, I checked 5 bulbs, I checked the cable. All fine. Do not buy, this product doesn't work

Renovate your antique table lights
Safely renovate your old lights with an authentic-looking light fitting. This has an earth point to allow the metal lamp holder to be earthed to comply with current regulations

Can't unscrew
Absolutely impossible to unscrew so you can actually wire anything up. Tried plyers, WD-40, heating the metal up, put it in a vice, you name it, I tried it and it would not unscrew. Metal bent before it would unscrew, and some of the coating has come off due to the brutal process of trying to unscrew it. Severely disappointed, should have listened to all the other reviews that said the same thing.

Don’t wast your money
Don’t buy this! Had mine delivered today. The bottom bit won’t unscrew for you to connect the wires to. Says to take the shade ring off and give it a sharp tap on a flat surface. Tried this and still won’t loosen up and the bit inside has now broken into bits. Don’t waste your money.So annoyed 😠
