If you have mostly hardwood floors & tile, you will be in love with this vacuum!I live in a long, tall & narrow 1,900 sq ft 2 story home. House is all hardwoods with area rugs in most rooms. I have 3 dogs & a cat. The animal hair in our house takes on a life of it's own! While the house has plenty of square footage, the narrow lay out meant that when it was time to vacuum the floors, I had the task of either moving each piece of furniture to try to vacuum around & underneath it or trying to maneuver my way around each room hoping to not bump or scratch the furniture or knock something over.The routine looked like this: lug upright around for the area rugs (upstairs & downstairs), get out stick vacuum for hardwood floors, get out swiffer to get behind & underneath all the items where the vacuum wont reach. Use vacuum again to suck up all the dust bunnies the swiffer did not pick up. Change swiffer and dust all the baseboards. This would take a couple of hours!I can now do my entire house in less than 30 min! All I have to do is put on the backpack, plug it in, and go! The vacuum is very, very powerful and picks up everything in it's path. The tools are easy to change out and most of the tools store right on the backpack belt so they are always with in reach. The metal extension wand works like a dream, quick and easy. No more lugging and bending and maneuvering to get into corners and underneath furniture. This vacuum has given me back hours of my life!I am just barely 5' 2" and about 140 lbs, this vacuum is not heavy to me at all. It is very easy to move around and even walk up the stairs with the backpack vacuum on. I find it much easier on my back than all the stooping, lugging, etc I had to do before. I also find that it is not too loud either (I was worried about that with the unit being so close to your head and ears). My vacuum came with a 25 ft cord. I saw that other reviewers said the cord on their unit was only 18 inches long..... mine was 25 ft, so don't know maybe they now sell it with the longer cord? I only have to move the plug twice when doing my entire house and never have to worry about getting tangled around furniture since the unit is attached to me and not what ever cleaner I was dragging around! Can't say enough good things here!Just a side note: The power nozzle is air driven (meaning the suction power of the unit powers the nozzle). The suction is so strong, it powers the brush roller with no problem. You just have to the keep the unit moving back and forth and the rollers work perfectly. I really only need this tool on the area rugs. Works like a dream on my flatweave area rugs, I have one plush, deep pile area rug that requires a bit more effort but it still does the trick. ***IF YOUR ENTIRE HOME IS CARPETED- you will probably need/want a different vacuum with an electric driven brush roll.

The media could not be loaded. I've always used upright vacuums but when I moved into my house with all hardwood and tile flooring I noticed that the house just didn't feel as clean as it should. I always noticed the guys at my work and the gym using backpack vacs so I started researching on Amazon for a reasonably priced version, which led me here.I'm completely sold on backpack vacs and this vac in particular. I love the way it looks. It's sleek, doesn't take up too much space, and is light enough to carry around comfortably. The straps could be a little softer since it chafes me a bit when wearing a tank top in the summer but it's not too bad. The wand is excellent and easy to adjust. I can get it nearly flat and very low to the ground in order to get under beds, which is incredibly useful for me. All of the tools that are included with the unit work well, with the exception of the turbo brush. It will do in a pinch but it will take forever to do even a 5 x 7 foot rug. You can opt for the more expensive model with the electric motor if you really need to use this for carpet or rugs. I'm just keeping my old hoover around for that.In the first half of the video I give a tour of the unit and how it works. The second half is showing it in comparison to an upright vac with beater bars to show the difference on carpet. This isn't made for carpet but I thought it might be useful for people to get an idea of what's involved when using this unit on my runner.Overall: I think this is an excellent backpack vac. Suction is very powerful and it has enough features for me to efficiently and effectively keep my house clean. I noticed it actually takes me a bit longer to vacuum now but it's only because the wand and attachments make it so easy for me to get around every little nook and cranny. My house has never been cleaner!Edit: I forgot to add that the manual shows a blower tool instead of the turbo vacation attachment that now comes with the unit. When I first bought it I thought the blower nozzle was missing but it's just not included anymore.
