It's Raining Cats--and Cats! Hardcover – September 1, 2008

As an elementary school librarian and founder of a cat rescue organization, I am always looking for good humane education titles to add to my collection; but this is the first children's picture book I have ever found that focuses on spaying and neutering and the results of not altering your cat. The story skillfully incorporates a great deal of information about the cat overpopulation problem in a manner that children can relate to. The book also includes factual information at the end of the story, to reinforce the physical as well as practical reasons why spay/neuter is essential for your pets and for society as a whole. Used it for a Book Report. We got a an A!

A wonderfully written and illustrated book about the importance of spay and neutering. Tactfully and creatively deals with the topic.I used this book in my presentation to 2nd and 3rd graders at a Boys and Girls Club for our animal rescue group and it was very well received.Highly recommend it!

I teach a summer camp all about caring for animals. We read this book, and then went back and actually drew out the "family tree". It was a great visual for the kids to see how quickly animals reproduce and the importance of spay/neuter. Very age appropriate. Great illustrations!

This was the best book I've ever seen written about spaying and neutering. Very tactful and age appropriate way to help children see how important it is to stop the reproduction of companion animals.
