Not sure I would call this a service kit, as it is just a piston and a o-ring. The other o-rings used on the caliper are not included. The piston seems to work as intended. Make sure you order 2 for 1 caliper as they have one piston per side.

Wow, what a great solution to what was gonna be a big problem with my XT M8000 calipers.Shimano use ceramic for the caliper piston and sometimes they like to crack. Shimano also don't really sell spare parts, which is where I just found myself with my fatbike.I've just installed these in the caliper and reinstalled the caliper on the bike. Bled it as per usual and boom! we're back in business and going fatbiking in the snow tomorrow :)

I bought it for my Shimano XTR M9020 front brake and following the recommendations of the seller I used the retainer that comes with the piston and it did not work, it did not move or release. I put back the old one that came originally and it worked perfectly. The seal that comes with this piston is harder than the Shimano XTR

The media could not be loaded.  Will upload the new install but this is the old one I replaced with the new unit which was a perfect fit and works great!

Since Shimano doesn't sell parts for their brake calipers this is the only option for when their pistons crack. Excellent product. Works perfectly. I would say that they actually work better than the OEM ceramic pistons. Easy to install.

The thought of discarding my leaking Shimano M666 SLX brake calipers was not making me happy. These are easy to install and the new seals ensure leak free operation. You must order 2 to complete a caliper rebuild. Works on par to original pistons!

I've done a few hundred miles after installing these on a Shimano M785 caliper and so far so good!

It's a finicky process to replace but it gives you the opportunity to keep using your brakes! Was very close to replacing the whole caliper. So far this piston is not leaking, and no other issues at all. I'll update if that changes.

I bought this product to repair my brakes, but only one piston came in the package, pretty much useless for me.
