Much Better than Touch-up Bottle
I scrapped the front spoiler of my car on a curb. Many white marks too deep to remove with scratch repair, rubbing compound, etc. I've used the small touch up bottles before for paint repair, but they are not smooth and leave obvious paint lines on the repair. Decided to do a full spray of 1/4 of the spoiler with Victory Red Dupli-Color.Before doing so I watched several videos on auto paint repair. A few points that stand out from the videos. Preparation is key. The paint area has to be degreased and absolutely clean. Light coats are better than heavy coats. You need to use primer and clear coat if you want a professional finish. To that end, I applied two coats of primer, four coats of paint, and two coats of clear coat. The color matched perfectly and from a distance you would not know the spoiler had been painted. Up close, the painted area is a bit higher in texture due to the 8 coats of primer, paint and clear, but I wanted to assure the paint would not peel, which is a common paint repair problem particularly on composite nonmetallic parts. If you want a smoother finish, a coat of primer, two coats of primer of paint and one or two coats of clear may work better. The paint itself is an exact match. I did not use Dupli-Color primer or clear, but rather a name brand substitute. This worked fine. If you decided to take on this project, make sure you have a respirator. This paint definitely has more fumes than regular spray paint. Also, paint on a day when you can keep you garage door open. I don't recommend spraying outside as this increases the chance of overspray. Mask off everything you don't want painted and tarp your floor as the spray will descend on a wide area of the floor. With a little bit of patience, work and adherence to directions, anyone can do this project. My guess for a body shop to do a similar project would be around $500, as they would remove the spoiler and likely paint the entire spoiler. Time and labor add up even on small repair projects. I know this from experience as the same car was t-boned by someone who ran a red light and the repair costs was $18,000, most of it body and paint related. I paid $40 for all paint and masking tape. Save yourself some money and do it yourself.

Matches absolutely flawlessly!
This paint is not a body shop quality but sure did save me some cash when the clear on my roof started peeling in one little spot. The car is a 08 model so I wasn’t going to put much into it, but I am pleasantly surprised with the results of this product and the paint match.

Matches my paint erfectly
Perfect factory color for my Mustang. Only wish they made these in a larger can. Sprays out great and no issues from 3 cans I have used.

Not a match for Ducati Red
I bought this hoping it would match Ducati Red. I had read that it does. It doesn't. It's too red. Spend a little more money and get the real stuff.

This Paint Sucks.
The extent of the paint on the can is on me as I made multiple attempts to make sure it was mixed fully and then tried again. And again. And again.I started a guitar project last year and used this same paint with no issues. I needed one more can to finish the front of the headstock because of my own screw up. Since then (Fall of 2023) every can of Duplicolor (blue, white and black) that I’ve bought just pours out of the bottom of the sprayer. All of the tips appear to have a split in them now where the older ones didn’t seem to or it didn’t affect painting. The paint sprays out of the tip but also pours out of this split and fills the cup at the top of the can and then overflows and runs down the can. It also splatters from the air pressure forcing it out of the cup and onto the project. The paint is not only on the guitar project but also now on my lawn, my patio, my garage floor and my clothes. The damage is again on me because I kept trying to use the paint instead of giving up on the project, but the guitar body was done with the same paint and was fine.I ordered more paint (black and white) for another project when I initially ran out and before buying the extra blue can and that’ll never get used, along with the matching primer. On a side note the 1K glossy clear coat pulled off of the guitar body with painter tape after not being touched for months.I had been super happy with the paint, primer and clear on the body (until it pulled off) and recommended it as very forgiving to runs and mistakes but I won’t be using it again.

Not the first time I've purchased.
This product works great!I took the time to learn how to fix the rust spots on my vehicles and the color matches perfectly. After the prep work is done, just spray and let it dry in less than no time.

Good color but DO NOT USE THIS FOR WHOLE PANELS
Repainting areas of my 06 scion, color code 8p4. Dupli-Color Dark Blue Pearl is a good color match to the existing paint, but the quoted area of "10-12 sq ft" is a total pipe dream.Based on that quoted area, just painting the roof which is about 18-20 sq ft, 2 cans *should* have at least gotten me a coat, it took six cans to barely get 1.5 coats down. This is the reason I rated the paint down two stars, I based my paint purchase on that 10-12 sq ft estimate with room to spare, and I still didn't even have 25% of the paint I needed. So I was left high and dry scrambling to find more paint at the last minute when I ran out. Dupli-Color absolutely needs to revise their stated area of coverage. So I rushed out and got a $15 harbor freight HVLP air sprayer and had an auto shop mix me a quart of paint for not much more than I paid for the 6 cans of this paint that I bought. Finished the job with plenty of paint to spare. I know these spray cans have propellant taking up volume, but '48oz' of aerosol cans didn't even cover what 8oz of paint from an HVLP covered. In short, these cans are in no way suited for large jobs, small touchups only. The quoted area of coverage is a total dream. Literally just bite the bullet and get an HVLP. You will lay down ~6x the paint in 1/6th the time.
