SUBURBAN MFG Suburban 3247A Gas Range w/Sealed Burners - Porcelain Stainless Steel w/Spark Ignition, 22"

I was shipped this product to install in a bus conversion I am doing. I needed the stove early in the build for hookup. I never got to use the product for 6 weeks. When I did, I discovered that the top of the stove, the removable grate that you cook on, was not level, it was concave. I remember that the box was destroyed when it arrived, but the stove looked fine. It wasn't until I went to cook eggs on it for the first time that I realized it was bent or concave, and all the eggs slid to one side of the pan. I now have to cook on the middle burner and hold the pan level. When I contacted them to find out how to get a replacement part, they told me it was out of warranty, which I figured. The problem is now I can't get that part and feel I am stuck with unlevel cooking.The stove and oven are great. It is the service I am not happy with. It makes me sick to my stomach that one of the most expensive pieces in my conversion is defective.

I installed this in my converted promaster van and it’s seen full time use for a few months now. At the highest setting, the stove takes longer to boil water (or achieve target temperature in any matter) than you’d expect from a full size stove. But it surely gets the job done. Once things get hot you can typically turn the flame all the way to low and maintain good heat. The grille on top isn’t exactly the sturdiest thing. You’d never want to put your weight on it, but it can handle a cast iron wok if you are gentle. Installation was pretty straightforward thanks to detailed instruction/diagrams. The grille is a bit noisy going down the road, even with the supplied bushings (one of four was missing) but is easily dampened by throwing a towel or sweatshirt over it while in motion.

Nice quality top burners that don't vibrate while driving. A little pricey but install was easy and straightforward.

I ordered this stove. Twice! The first order was returned before it made it to me because it was damaged badly. The 2nd order made it to me but it was very dented and damaged. We just figure that Suburban is not a very good company that cares about the end user.
