Cheaper than the pills, works well
I'd been taking ~1000mg twice a day previously with a lot of success, but pill costs add up, so I thought I'd try the powder. This is a decidedly good option for my wallet and my convenience. I was able to double my dosage (from 2000mg to 4000mg per day), but found myself slightly more prone to stomach upset, so I break it up a bit more now. I'm very happy with this overall, for the price and amount.Short version, I have PCOS, and myo- and d-chiro inositol are a good deal for me. I don't care the least about having babies, but I do care about all of the other problems with PCOS, the hirsutism, increased cancer and diabetes risk, the whole shebang. This stuff is legit. It's only been about two months of inositol, and have a small, but noticeable reduction in facial hair, my appetite actually resembles something like a normal person's, and I just overall feel better. When I get cravings, they're easier to ignore and go away faster; I don't usually even get the munchies anymore, and I used to, pretty much every day.My understanding is that you really need a bit longer to see real reductions in facial hair, but I think I've had more luck since I take this with ashwagandha KSM-66 (1000mg, twice daily), and they work really well together. Between the two of them, they shut my ovaries up and tell them to stop thinking I'm a dude, and stop making me hungry all the f-ing time. (Sidenote: the KSM-66 has also seriously reduced my stress. I'd started taking that first; imagine my surprise when I learned my excess cortisol was ALSO because of my PCOS.)Anyway, using this stuff is as easy as it gets. There's a scoop. Level it off, and you've got just slightly over 2000mg of the inositol blend. Add it to any cold liquid. Heat diminishes the effectiveness of the inositol, so if you're putting it in your hot tea or coffee, you're not doing yourself a favor. There's almost no flavor, just a mild sweetness that is precisely like sugar. To carry mine to work with me, I use a set of bento condiment containers. You can find them here on Amazon, sold in sets of four, and they are perfect for holding a scoop's worth of powder at a time, without making a mess.Last note, there have been some conflicting studies on inositol for weight loss, but if you're considering it, here's my recommendation to you (I am neither a doctor nor a nutritionist): inositol, plus spreading out and limiting your carbs and sugar, work extremely well together. I also recommend the KSM-66 I mentioned earlier as part of this, but one thing at a time. I've lost an average of 4-6 lbs a month with less fuss or changes to my diet than I've ever had success with before. In the past, I've always had to -greatly- reduce my calories to have any success with weight loss. I've tried exercise and CICO, willpower doesn't math up for bad math. What they don't tell you is that when you have a metabolic disorder like PCOS, your BMR may be lower and your body has almost zero interest in burning your stored fat. I could eat like a skinny person or less than one, and still only maintain or barely lose. Inositol will not lose the weight for you, but it will make it easier for you to do so, because it will tell your body to stop being stupid about how it stores energy, and, more importantly, to burn fuel reserves, like a normal person, even if your BMR still sucks.tl;dr, I'd recommend this supplement to anybody with PCOS. It's way cheaper than the pills, and can be just as convenient if you're willing to spend five bucks on something small to transport it in. You will love not being hungry -all the time- or feeling guilty for self-sabotaging when you get cravings. This makes it so much easier, guys.

PCOS and LOW THYROID! cycle was 42 days now 35!
Okay so.. I think I can leave an honest review. This product has little to no taste. It doesn’t dissolve completely in plain water, but I have found the easiest way to do it is to take a water bottle full of water, add Pregnositol then add a powder drink mix like crystal light and SHAKE IT. That seems to get it to dissolve 100%. You can’t mix it in anything hot because it decreases the effectiveness of the product.I got this supplement about a month ago for my PCOS and low thyroid to help my ttc journey! Started taking it, took 1 scoop twice a day (per research guidelines not dosage guidelines). I took it for around 2 weeks, then kind of fell off the horse (nursing school and other stressors made it easy to forget). I had some spotting around day 18 of my cycle (weird never happens...) 2 days after that on day 20 I got a POSITIVE OPK for the first time in my life! (Yes I know OPK arent always reliable in PCOS because usually LH is elevated the whole cycle but that is NOT the case with my PCOS type.) I OVULATED for the first time in 5 years! Now, I was also drinking pink storks Fertility tea for the first 5 days of my cycle. Unfortunately, I did not conceive this cycle, but instead of a 42+ day cycle my cycle was 35 days! 35! I started taking this again religiously the first day of my period. I recommend this to anyone trying to help their hormonal issues as long as you ask your doctor first! I gave it 4 stars so far because I haven’t had a true full month on it yet, but so far so good! I have my fingers crossed for this cycle I will update my review when this cycle ends!

IF YOU HAVE IRREGULAR PERIODS DUE TO PCOS GET THIS
Let me start by saying this. I am 25 years old and I have never had a 28 day period(with the exception of when I was on the pill). I ordered this because I was diagnosed with PCOS earlier this year after not having a period for 4 months. That part didn’t bother me. It was the fact that this absent period came with a budding double chin and extreme facial hair growth. I knew it was all related. My periods we’re usually 37-42 days apart and getting lighter and lighter before they stopped all together. I was more upset about the facial hair so my dr recommend spironolactone for me but I had to get back on birth control(has been off of the pill almost a year). I wanted something hormone free because I have no desire to have any children any time soon but I didn’t want to subject myself to hormone use for such a long period after already being on the pill since I was 17. I got the paragard iud and started taking the spironolactone. The iud was fine but once I started taking the spironolactone, I knew it wasn’t going to work for me. Since I was on a hormone free birth control, the spironolactone was causing me to have a lot of random bleeding. Like every day for 3 weeks until I stopped and decided to do research on things that could help PCOS. I found D-Chiro and D-Inositol fairly quickly and read how ladies were getting normal periods and ovulation again. I was hoping that a normal period and ovulating would in turn lower my androgens and decrease the fail hair(or completely eliminate it.I got this brand because it was a powder form and relatively cheaper than it’s mama brand counterparts. Also, patients with PCOS are recommended to take double the standard dose and this product would lay me longest for the price. I started taking this supplement twice a day(1scoop before breakfast and at bedtime) and 14 days later got my period exactly 28 days from the last one. Never in my life has that ever happened. Now I’m and month and a half in and 1 day away from my next period. Again, another 28 day period. Girls, this works. I don’t know if I’m ovulating because I don’t check. I also don’t notice a difference in facial hair growth yet but I know it can take a while to notice because hair has long growth cycles. Bottom line, I still need to shave every day(I don’t tho I still hide behind masks :)) but I’m hopeful that by 6 months I will be growing little to no facial hair. I go back for my annual in March and I will have her check my bloodwork again and get new imaging to see has my androgens and cyst number come down since I have a normal period now. Will update them :)
