I purchased this lead to heel-train our 8 month old labrador, but I have 3 issues with it :the lead stretched in use - to the point where I had to re-tighten the lead 3 times on a 10 minute walk. There is a metal ring to stop the lead choking the dog, and either this moves or the cord was stretching - not much good if the dog can slip the lead. This may have stopped over time, but the little tab to stop the lead opening also moved along the lead far too easily, and I could see this only getting worse . Finally, when the lead was tensoned and then released, the cord started twisting on itself and kinking, which suggests the weave was too loose.All in all, fundementally unsuitable for the job. This may be good value for a replacement lead for a dog that is fully trained, but of no use as a first slip lead.

I ordered this lead about a month and a half ago, at first I really liked it, it was comfy, nice to hold and stopped my puppy from pulling. Fast forward to last Saturday evening, the little rubber bit that holds the lead tight on my puppy's head has started to wear and it's loose meaning it doesnt hold the lead in place, this resulted my puppy slipping her lead and running off, as I went to go and get her she bolted off into the road!! She got hit by a car, thankfully the car wasnt going too fast and she ran into it and thankfully not in front of it so she was just a bit bruised and sore but was okay after a couple of days. This could have been alot worse!! Do not get this lead it's bloody dangerous!! And I'm not happy as this could have resulted in my puppy being killed.

Really lovely looking leads and nice comfortable soft material. Strong enough to walk my 2 dogs - 35 & 42kg but they aren’t strong pullers!Really good but for the money.Marked down a star purely as they had a strong damp smell on arrival - went away after I sprayed with lenor!Great buy apart from that

The tag that stops the lead is lose and doesn't do anything, not the greatest lead, probably one of the worst I've used, great colour though

A fantastic quality lead. The small size is perfect for my 3.5kg dog. It is really strong although it is so thin. The leather parts & stop are sturdy & well sewn. It has a metal part to stop it tightening around my dog's neck. I'm delighted with this lead & can highly recommend it.

I got a rescue dog and she's small.Kept getting out of her harnesses by pulling backwards.I was nervous taking her for a walk and this has made such a difference.I am.more relaxed now.I love the stopper as it stops the loop getting bigger and the dog seems happy with it.

I bought this slip lead for my 5 months old puppy. I love the bright blue colour and the added reflective line across it is very practical when using the lead at night. It feels really comfortable in your hand and has an adjustable stopper so you can ensure it’s comfortable around your dogs neck. The thickness of 6mm is perfect not to chunky like some of the other slip leads. The length is great too. The quality great. Overall I am really happy with my purchase.

I got this slip lead for my 3kg chihuahua. Within an hour of receiving I used it to take him out with my mums collies in the rain. My poor dog ended up nearly strangling himself as the bit that's supposed to prevent that happening got stuck because it got wet.
