Don't waste any more time and purchase this lock! :)I am 100% a real person, not getting paid to review this item .I actually purchased this lock after I had another "highly rated" lock from Amazon break after only a few weeks. Setup was super easy and convenient. Everything about the lock seems solid and built to last. I also really liked that the manufacture included the black plastic screw ends.As of today I have experienced no issues and will keep my post up to date if any changes.

I am attempting to save some of you a potential problem. There are no written instructions that came with the lock. The instructions are posted on Amazon however. The problem was that the web instructions stated to initially unlock the lock to set your on code, you should set the combination to 0005. THIS DID NOT WORK and it drove me crazy. I was fiddling around with the dials, and after a while by pure luck I hit 0000 and it worked. I was ready to return it or contact the company, but like I said by luck, I found the right code. I don't know if this was just a fluke on only my lock or not. I like that it came with a mount with it. Be advised that I am not sure on how long this mount would last because it is mostly plastic. The cable appears that it will hold its self-coiling feature for a long time. The cable and lock mechanism appears to be substantial and well made. The plastic coating on the heavy cable is thick. The company provided a very good warranty and others rated this lock well.

Arrived in time and works great. No hassle of carrying another key. Easy to fit and use both for me and my wife. It fits well on my bike under the seat. My wife’s bike is low in height so we had to struggle a bit to find a suitable place because the only convenient place seemed to be where the water bottle would go. But I guess that problem will come with any kind of lock.

Although I certainly wouldn’t use this in a city or as a real lock, I use it in conjunction with a small alarm on my foldable bike when I go indoors to my supermarket.(In Los Angeles sign of the times) Caught a couple of wise guys running.Lol!Great temporary deterrent . Easy to cut with cutters. Probably fine in a small town.

Product no longer works 3 days after return window. Numbers are jammed and lock won’t open. Would not recommend.

Economical and sturdy. Easy to install. Make sure you have at least 8" of clearance for it. I could not find a suitable spot on my eBike. The bottle bracket is in the way and there was not room on my seat post. Unfortunately had to return it (always easy with Prime.)

Best bike lock out there! Super Sturdy Construction and quick and easy installation. I like how Via Velo gives you two different types of screw lengths depending on your bike frame width which makes installation quick and easy. I would recommend this to any one looking for a cheap bike lock and wanted one that would last a long time.
