Pricey Holiday Hot Chocolate & Cider Recipes
While the 3 recipes I tried were good, I think the price was a bit more than I would have spent for 17 recipes. While the photos are lovely, it's not why I bought the recipe book(let, that's actually what it is). Think about this one!

Date: 8/29/13Title: Warm Up Your WinterAuthor: Laura PowellISBN 13: 978-1-4621-1204-3Pages: 26Publisher: Front Table/Cedar FortCover: PaperbackRating: 3 StarsI receive this book as a part of the Cedar Fort review program. Honestly, I can say this is not a book that I would have bought on my own. Although the recipes in this book are good recipes, I've seen them elsewhere, either in other cookbooks or on the internet and have actually made some of these myself. On the other hand, the one recipe that was unfamiliar happened to be the very first recipe: Nutella Hot Chocolate. I absolutely loathe Nutella, however, my husband loves it, so I will try the recipe for him. Nutella? Who knew? The only other exception to the rule was Caramel Apple Drink. I think I'll try that one as well.Because this book almost seems like a pamphlet of recipes, I would love to see, in the future, a book from the author that includes these recipes in a much larger recipe book, perhaps with other holiday recipes to include meals and desserts. Just a thought."I received a free copy of this book from Cedar Fort, for my honest review. The opinions expressed here are my own."

WONDERFUL!
I LOVE HOT CHOCOLATE!And when I saw that this book had multiple ways of making delicious hot chocolate and cider I knew I wanted to review it!The book starts with a recipe using Nutella to make hot chocolate...I am totally hooked! There are so many recipes in here:*Frozen Hot Chocolate*Hot Vanilla Chocolate*Butterscotch Hot Chocolate*Eggnog Hot Chocolate*Pumpkin Pie White Hot Chocolate*Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate*Peppermint Hot Chocolate*and Orange Hot Chocolate just to name a few...I am not a big cider person so I haven't tried any of those recipes yet, but let me tell you they do look good; especially the Hot Caramel Apple Cider :)There are also ideas for mix-ins and toppings to help you celebrate with your very own Hot Chocolate or Hot Apple Cider Bar...fun, fun idea! And there is a recipe in here to make Hot Chocolate Truffles...these would make great gifts! You mix all the ingredients, let it cool, refrigerate, scoop out with a cookie scoop, roll in crushed peppermint candy canes (or other fun treats), wrap in plastic, and freeze. When you are ready for a cup of hot chocolate you simply pour a cup of milk into a mug, drop two unwrapped truffles into the milk and heat in the microwave....WOW!Don't let the winter months give you a chill..."Warm Up Your Winter" with these amazing recipes....
