Canidae Pure Petite Premium Wet Dog Food for Small Breeds, Pate with Chicken & Peas, 3.5 oz, (Case of 12) Grain Free

My 12 y.o. nearly toothless Chihuahua just must have this food! He follows me into the kitchen everyday & every time I go into it. He whines for it. He acts like I’m starving him even though he has very softened kibble in his bowl. He eats his “regular” food ( Science Diet kibble) as a last resort after whining & begging doesn’t work. It’s expensive so he gets this as an add on a couple times a day. Even then it’s still expensive. But, he’s worth it! I’ve had 0 issues with quality or him getting sick etc. Remember it has peas in it so people may confuse this with mold? Not sure….Paco likes it & since he’s dentally challenged this works as it’s soft.

This food is a good substitute for homemade dog food when you travel. It has all good ingredients and is easy to tuck into a suitcase. I only use it when I'm traveling.

My dog loves, and she doesn't have gas or tummy aches, I love the ease of tray, but man, when u first open, hold breathe!

I really don’t know about the ingredient quality or flavor since I don’t eat it my dog does LOL! However, I do know that my dog is the pickiest little brat on the planet and over the years I’ve tried making fresh food for her cooking it in every brand you can think of and she hated everyone of them except this one she eats up right away. The other brands she let sit in her dish until they got hard, dry and disgusting! I had to throw them out as I could never imagine her eating it like that yuck!

My Frenchie used to love this dog food, but the latest two orders are a weird consistency and give her really bad gas. I’m throwing the rest out.

My boys eat kibble mostly, but for supper they get wet food. I tried several different wet foods. Most brands contained a LOT of liquid gravy. Not food. This brand has gravy coating the food, but it is mostly food. I rotate the six different flavors. They are happy with all.

My dogs love this food and I appreciate the quality ingredients. My only complaint is that the texture is inconsistent. Sometimes it is like a firm pate that can be sliced into chunks (preferred) and other times it will be very wet and mushy which can be concerning...since I don't know if it has gone bad or what. My dogs will still eat it regardless, but I would feel better about feeding it if the texture was as expected, every time.
