Metallic Battle Bugs

I bought this for my 7-year old grandson for Christmas - and am very disappointed. It was just a bunch of black bugs with some kind of "paint" that really didn't work. His parents tried working with him with it and they ended up telling him that sometimes things just aren't as advertised.

I bought this on sale for my 4- and 7-year-olds. The putty is cool and exciting at first touch, but rather impossible for little hands to spread on the bugs and get it to stay. My 7-year-old walked away after about 1 minute of trying to spread the lava on his bug. "Mom, you finish it," he said. My 4-year-old tried, but couldn't really get the lava to spread or stay on her bug. I helped her finish hers. We got 4 lava/putty pots in our kit, and 1 was impossible to open and I still haven't been able to open it. Overall, this toy was a dud and I wouldn't recommend it.

This lava substance is as sticky as taffy and impossible to apply to the bugs that come with the kit. I would never have purchased this thing since I have concerns about the safety of such toys, but it was given to my sons. What a horrible, horrible toy. Your child will have nothing but disappointment. Spend your money on something--anything--else.
