Excellent Star Wars Origins Comic Series!
This is part one of three of a comic series, that contains five comics in this one trade paper book. The quality of the writing and artwork is fantastic! This is some of the earliest Star Wars content available. And deserving of reading this comic series. This particular series was the first comic book series I had ever read. And now I am hooked on Star Wars comics. creativity and imagination of the people involved is remarkable. If you have any curiosity about the world before Jedi, and how they got started. Then this comic book series is a must read!

the je'daii saga continues
John Ostrander continues the amazing journey within Dawn of the Jedi. A Prisoner of Bogan finally has found company. A former 'jedi war hero' comes to meet a fellow force hound for the dark side. The jedi finds that a vision he had several years ago seems to be unraveling before his eyes. When the two prisoners attempt to create this vision it draws more than just the attention of the jedi who placed them on Bogan to begin with. The prisoners' past comes to hunt them down and even start yet another war if necessary. This volume might have been even better than the first, and that is saying a lot considering I gave the first volume a high rating also. I give prisoner of Bogan 4.5/5 stars.

Great Way to end the old EU
It sucks that the old EU is being relegated to some secondary status. It's still great though. I love these early Jedi stories. Je'Daii are very interesting. They seem way more open minded and reasonable than Jedi. It's great to see the Rakatan Infinite Empire being explored a little. Don't be shy to buy even after the great EU purge. A good story is a good story.

Little bit expensive but overall a great ebook
I was impressed with everything other than the price really. I thought for an ebook it could have been cheaper, but after talking with some friends, they confirmed that this is the standard price for ebooks like this. Iβve changed to ebooks quite recently since I donβt like how much room my paper books take up in my bedroom. I started with the Star Wars books because theyβre my favorites by far. The story is beautiful as always.

A new dawn begins.
This story was very good it kept my interest throughout the story. The characters are exciting and the art work is wonderful. This storyline let star wars fads see a new side of the Jedi the beginning. Also there is a short story at the end. this story is part of a book called The Dawn of the Jedi. It is in book form and audible I recommend you check out that book also.

Images or pages seem to be very blurry compared to the first book, great narrative and art
I bought the first book in the series with a very positive impresion, obviously decided to buy the second part. However, while the visual quality of the first book was very good this one seems blurry like if the resolution is a lot lower. The pages wouldn't even fill the whole screen of my tablet. The story is really good and the art is really good as always. Just this little turn off and im not even sure if it's just me with the problem.

Advances the story.
Interesting to go way back in time to glimpse the underpinnings of the force. This storyline serves as the backstory to the circumstances found in the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. For people looking for completeness, it is a good filler. Graphical novel format.

bring back the kindle format!!!!
An excellent Star Wars history. Started reading and after getting my bearings within the unfamiliar context of the ancient history of the je'daii, could not stop!! The prisoner of bogan ends on a dramatic cliffhanger and the final book in the trilogy is recently unavailable for kindle. What happened???!?! BRING IT BACK!!!!

Easier to enjoy now that the premise has had chance to bed in.
THE STORY:(25,793 BBY). Exiled on the moon Bogan, the Force Hound Xesh encounters Daegen Lok, a deranged Je'daii with a dark vision of the future. They form an alliance to escape but soon find themselves pursued by a team of Je'daii and a dangerous figure from Xesh's past. Meanwhile, the Je'daii Masters begin to find hints that a new enemy may be lurking in the depths of space, waiting to pounce.WHAT'S GOOD:The biggest problem with the first book of the series, 'Force Storm', was that the timeline, characters and setting was so far removed from familiar Star Wars territory, that it was hard to come to grips with. With this second book, however, the setting is more established and many of the characters are now familiar. Crimelords, travel to diverse planets, lightsaber (technically 'Forcesaber') duels and some traditional light versus dark action makes this book feel much more a part of the Star Wars mythos than the last one. I also particularly enjoyed the way the story took Xesh, a young man raised to use the dark side and resentful of his exile, and paired him up with Lok, a former Je'daii hero who has consciously chosen the dark side in order to use its power in the war he has forseen.WHAT'S BAD:Despite what I've said above, the fact that this story is still far removed from the rest of the mythos remains a negative factor. It's hard to get your head around a Star Wars story with no Jedi, no Sith, no Republic, no Empire etc. The only other serious negative factor is that the Je'daii involved all continue to be largely unremarkable when held in comparison to Xesh and Daegen Lok (the true main characters).OVERALL:A definite upswing for the series and well worth a look, if you can come to grips with the context and setting.

Jedi prehistory
A long time before the events of the films. Attitudes to the "dark side" are different, and the original Sith species are part of it and have decent intentions.

Nice story, hard to read in parts.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS.I really liked the story and the artwork. But some of it was very difficult to read, thanks to a combination of small-ish font and some inexplicable text squish. (see picture, it's from half-way through the book, POSSIBLE SPOILERS) http://i.imgur.com/4WMfkSV.jpgI hope it's okay to put an imgur link. It's just a screenshot of the comic.
