EXCELLENT Maun 4951 160 Side Cutting Plier 6.1/2in
Excellent item - had two pairs of these for many years - I keep buying them for other people with workshops - British made product too - BUY BRITISH!Cannot understand why more people do not have them - they work like a pair of pliers ought to work - ie the jaws close on the item you are trying to work on with parallel jaws rather than jaws coming together at a tangent. How can one possibly grip something properly with jaws that don't come together in a parallel manner? The side cutters are great too - ideal for wire cutting.I take the spring off so they close properly in my tool box as it's not terribly convenient to have them open all the time for my use in a car workshop. I suppose you could put an elastic band over them to keep them closed when stored.

Unbeatable quality.
I knew theses were going to be excellent as I’d had a pair previously but which were stolen from me. They are well made and I’m confident they will last a lifetime and possibly several.

Excellent pliers and a cut above the others.
My father had a pair of these pliers but they got lost/stolen so I failed to inherit them. I always searched tool shops for an identical pair but the usual outlets don't stock them, now thanks to Amazon I have a brand new pair. I bought the model of pliers with the integral wire cutters on the side of the jaws, the wire cutters are the best and can chomp through hardened piano wire and wheel spokes, so the pliers are a valuable adornment for my toolbox and a reminder of my begetter.

It does just what it says, reliably and capably.

Small and robust
Great for gripping bolt heads, pulling wire, and cutting piano wire.

Tip broke off side cutters first time out
Unfortunately the tip broke off side cutting jaw with the first piece of wire it cut, disappointed as it was a replacement to one I'd had for over 10 years and jaws were still intact on it, perhaps it was a faulty one

Parallel jaw pliers grip the best
I got my first pair of these back in mid 1960s.They have been one of my favourite tools ever since.A good grip from the parallel jaws and excellent wire cutters make it the best.Recommended.

Works great!
I use these pliers for RC aircraft. The cutter do an excellent job and the parallel jaw pliers are great for bending push rods!

The BEST pliers for fencing.
The BEST pliers for fencing. The double hinge means that cutting wire is easier on my hands that other pliers. You can't go past these . I have "tennis elbow" so the reduction in work with essentially making a fist when fencing makes these worth the money.

Handiest pliers for fencing
Best ever, good leverage, good hard alloy. Hardest thing is stopping people trying to pinch them!

Nice pliers and pretty well made
I bought these to replace an 40+ year old pair of Sargent parallel jaw pliers that I had lost. And of course I found them again after it was too late to cancel the order. The Maun pliers are made in England and have a nice smooth action. The handles are formed sheet metal as on the Sargent pliers but not as nicely made. The ends are open which will catch dirt. The knurling on the Maun handles is quite shallow and really doesn't help you grip the tool; the old Sargent pliers has better knurling, now a bit worn down from use. This seems to be about the right price for a parallel jaw plier with a side cutter, so I recommend it.
