KFC-6985PS 6 x 9 Inches Performance Series 4-Way Coaxial Speakers, Set of 2

These are excellent speakers. I purchased a pair of Memphis Audio speakers that were in the same price range, and they sounded muddy, and that prompted me to go with a tried and true brand. I have always used either Alpine or Kenwood head units in my used vehicles, and figured, why not try their speakers? I didn't feel like buying Infinity unless I had to, and it looks like Kenwood builds great speakers. I installed these in my 1987 Cadillac Brougham d' Elegance using 1.5"/#10 self-tapping screws. These speakers (like many) comes with a wiring kit, screws, and other accessories to help mount these from the bottom or the top. Because I mounted these from the bottom, the only items I used from the box were the wires with tab connector and the speakers themselves. BONUS: They built a perforated speaker screw pattern into the back of the box. Cut that out and use that to align and mark your holes. Very balanced and high fidelity. This is exactly what I was looking for, and I plan to replace the front 4x6's with Kenwood as well. Save yourself $100+ and buy these speakers as they are a superb value for the wonderful sound quality. Thanks!

Since receiving these I had nothing but great, happy times with my boyfriend! He doesn't pass out any more when he drives, he is more focus, and due to the great sound quality I think he has been a happier driver too. All of this is great news for me!!! Works well running a stock 300watt radio and useing an fm transmitter to connect my phone to the radio dulling the sound quality alittle bit but still has bass that rattles the rearview mirror. Does seem to maybe draw too much power from the stock radio in my 05 cobalt but its way better than the blown speakers they replaced.

Great Speakers for the price. Fit them in a 96 civic and they sounded great. Good bass too.

KENWOOD Is KENWOOD, I got what I expected

I'm really impressed with these, especially for the price. Great response, clear, balanced and rich. Plenty of high and mid-range clarity. The bass is really solid, punchy, round and full. It takes a lot of pushing to get these to distort or sound muddy. Hooked up to a Kenwood KDC-152, these things are loud. Add a BOSS R1100M Riot amp + 10" Pioneer Champion sub and you've got one hell of a system on the cheap. UPDATE: Well, after a grand total of maybe 2 hours of listening these speakers blew out. Bummer. They sounded sooo good too. No amp, just wired straight to a Kenwood KDC-152 (50W x 4). They should definitely be able to handle it. My 13 year-old factory speakers are still going! What a pity... Returned them.
