Good for a short throw projector
I got this as about the only pull down projector screen that I could find that met my needs at a reasonable price for a short throw projector. I didn't want to go to the expense of a pull down or motorized tensioned screen. The screen functions well in my environment, pull down in a living room. It is the SRM version mainly because they make many models with different screen materials and sizes but for some reason you can only get certain sizes with certain features. If you want a 120" 16:9 screen you have to look at certain models. If you want 16:10 aspect you have to look at different models. Most of the sizes are unavailable in a lot of their screen types. I wanted to go a little bigger but there was no size available in the stiff backed pull down I wanted that would fit. Also wanted to maybe have a different surface material but you are limited on the combinations by the type of screen you chose. The SRM seems like it might stop any time and leave a half retracted screen but always works so I guess that's just the way it works. The next issue I had was shipping. I had just assumed since ordered through Amazon it would show up around the target date. Instead when trying to track it I found that it wouldn't be delivered unless I made an appointment. Went online and no appointments were available in my area. Going back and forth through the Amazon third party contact mechanism I finally got it sorted out. First I told them they could just deliver it when it came without my being there and that seemed to be agreed to but the actual shipper did not agree. Finally got an appointment and it was delivered. It wouldn't have been an issue if I was notified at purchase of the need for a delivery appointment and been given the mechanism to do that rather than finding out after shipment I needed to do that. Other than that the process went OK.Overall I'm happy with the screen and would recommend it for a home use short throw projector in a darkish room but that could be a limitation of my projector. Don't know about using an ultra short throw model and would defer to the experts on that. Obviously shouldn't be an issue with a standard projector.

Nice sturdy screen, SRM works great, "white" housing has a noticeable lavender tint...
Self-roll-back feature works great. There were still some waves on the canvas toward the bottom edge, despite the fiberglass backing, but I'm trying to see if they will flatten out over time. The first screen arrived damaged due to improper UPS handling--one of the plastic ends that's used to hang the screen was shattered to pieces. The rest of the screen was fine. The replacement screen arrived quickly (thanks, Amazon!) and thankfully without any shipping damage despite some dents in the box. While most of the screen is well protected with the shipping box and padding, the plastic ends don't have enough protection, in my opinion. I'm also baffled by the fact that they are made of plastic, but I trust Elite Screens to know the security of their own design. Just a bit odd to be hanging a huge very heavy screen only by 2 bolts, one on each end, inserted into relatively thin plastic... But now that the screen is up, it seems to be fixed reassuringly firmly on my wall. Bonus for including long mounting bolts and drywall anchors in the package.I'm subtracting a solid star for the great difficulty with which I can (or rather can't) lock the screen at certain extended length. For instance if I want to unroll the 4:3 screen to 16x9 size, locking it down to the nearest 1" even is difficult. Stop-lock intervals are listed as .78 Inches, but actually getting the screen to lock at those intervals is VERY difficult. It usually keeps rolling up past the point you want it to stop at more often than not. It takes many times of pulling the screen a bit downward and gently letting it go up, trying to get it to lock at a certain length. I've marked an erasable thin white dotted line on the black outer frame where the 16x9 aspect ratio is--where I initially had it measured and locked. But getting the screen unrolled and locked back at that position is a challenge and takes at least a few tries. Of course if you're always going to use this screen at the full 4:3 aspect ratio, it's not something you need to worry about.I was going to subtract a star for the odd choice of paint color for the white screen housing, but decided not to, though it does bother me. The color is not actually white but is rather an odd pearl off-white with a Strong lavender-pink tint. Against the pure white wall trim behind the screen, which the housing was intended to match, the top housing looks positively lavender. I've placed other white objects near the housing, and against each it is visibly lavender-pearl off-white. By comparison, my previous Da-Lite screen with white housing had a more typical flat white powdercoated finish. Just FYI if you're very picky about your screen matching the surroundings and expect pure white. One solution would be to paint the housing carefully to match wall color, though I'm not sure if that affects manufacturer's warranty.

Broken Spindle upon delivery screen was ok
The media could not be loaded. the worst screen ever bought, with its retractable function not workinh.after inspection its spindle broken, screen itself looks ok.tell me why you made this delivery so slow and broke its fragile spindle.also, its installation was ok but not good, please pair with better and sturdy screws and bolts。its price is already high enough to buy a cheap tv monitor.you guys should really take care and not selling trash.

Twisted enclosure, poor assembly quality
Nice screen material, which does its best to try and remain flat despite the horridly bad factory assembly. The aluminium case which it rolls up into has about a 1" twist from end to end. The bottom bar is glued into the sleeve at the bottom of the screen, but unfortunately they didn't center it front/back within the sleeve before gluing: the result is a permanent unfixable frontward curl at the bottom of the screen. There are lots of small wrinkles along the bottom edge, where the fabric wasn't kept taut while it was sewn together. When the screen is fully extended, the top 3-4 inches is a mix of white and black, not all black as intended or shown in the product description/photos.The slow retract mechanism works okay. I always use full extension, and it always locks down in the exact same position thank goodness. All in all, worth CAD$100-150 perhaps. But at the price it is sold for, one expects basic quality control.

Awesome Quality.
I am using it with my 4K projector. I believe only this screen can do justice with a 4K projector. Since it is using fiberglass material, there is no visible wave.

Paisa wasool item.
I am using this screen with Optoma HD27. Easy to install. Image clarity is awesome. I don't see any issues with the image quality. Image is clearly visible from side view also. This is my best buy so far.
