The Activity Volume 2 Paperback – Illustrated, March 12, 2013

The media could not be loaded.  I bought the book used and it was in excellent condition. But then i found out it was SIGNED by the writer and artist! Huge comeup for a comic nerd like me!

V2 of The Activity is definitely more gripping than the first volume. Granted it's always difficult to get a new franchise going, especially one spoken in language that will be alien to many of it's readers, but this time out there's definitely more intrigue, cloak and dagger and snapshots into the conflicts these men/women experience in the course of the missions they are charged with. The door slams shut pretty quickly, but personally, I like that. These are not the kind of people that will cry into a bottle reliving every hard choice they've ever had to make. That's why they are in units such as these. Anyone who enjoyed this book should check out the Black Powder Red Earth graphic novels as well (shameless plug). Similar kind of story and very gritty art.

First issue of the series I've picked up due to it being the highest rated volume of the three in accordance with what customers have said. Read through it and found it to be fast-paced and exhilarating. Not many comics are like this as it portrays days in the lives of a covert unit that not many people know of (ISA). I highly recommend this to anyone interested in realistic military/clandestine stories (fans of Vince Flynn and Tom Clancy novels) in the form of a well-written graphic novel. Now to order the other two....

I really enjoyed this recent volume of the Activity. Much more than the previous version which I gave three starts for mostly because of the artwork and the topic. This time the plot was more engaging, there was less of the pseudo sci-fi sleep dart guns and other nonsense, and the topics seemed much more realistic. I also like the development of the main characters and the developing story of a intel leak. If the writing stays at this level then I am hooked.

This story is a lot like the TV show "The Unit". It's pretty realistic, from what I gather. I enjoy it very much. It's what G.I. Joe would be if it were more realistic.

Timely delivered in Pristine condition. Wonderful artwork and well developed story line. I'm Very satisfied with this purchase.

Buy both, read them in order, get a glimpse of what the future holds... If there are more, then get them. It's one of the best graphic novels to come along in years...

I love military/spy movies, so a graphic novel seemed to be a natural progression.

Amazing 3-part military series. Reminded me of the tv show 'The Unit' but without all the civilian drama.
