Issues important to teachers
I found this book a good starting point in graduate level courses that I teach because it provides a historical framework for discussing issues of importance to teachers using seminal work in the field. The authors have a great track record and are prolific in the Ed Psych. I wanted this text because of its purpose and content.

Boring
I would rather read a math textbook than this piece of work. It is so awful, it is as if the author wanted to make it extra painful to read. About fifty percent of the paragraphs could be cut out and it could contain just as much information.

Core Text for Educational Psychology
This book has excellent information about the theory and history of educational psychology. My only beef with the book is that there are several typographical errors in it. It's a pet peeve of mine, but it does distract from the reading when you see obvious errors.
