Dynarex Non-Woven Sponges, Non-Sterile Gauze, 4x4 - Box

I have purchased these non-woven sponges multiple times. They are fantastic. They are very soft and extremely absorbent. And the price is right. I sometimes become chafed in the inguinal area, and these do a good job of cleaning up the area and then to keep it dry until healing can take place. I've also used them to clean wounds. And to clean my cats ears. They do a very good job. Highly recommended.

For the price you get a good deal. The sponges with as described and do not fall apart while cleaning wounds and leaving debris in it around it.

Non-Sterile does not mean that the item is a dirty cloth that will contaminate you. Overall: Just what was expected. Yes it may say that it contains double the amount but if you research the items similar to this, you will find that this is the norm. Overall, great value and a product that is at least, if not above, average for what it is. After extensive searching and researching, this was the best option for plain and simple gauze/dressing that you would apply to a wound or under another type of bandage. One noteworthy aspect of this particular item, is that it is not individual packages AKA not a sterile piece each time you use the non-woven sponges (non-sterile as stated on the label in true full disclosure, deceit-free style). If you are in need of sterile packages of this item, you will have to pay for that specific (and very important) characteristic of the item. Depending on the circumstances, it is well worth spending a little bit more money on the bandage that will remain in a (sterile) package, than to end up with an infection in the hospital; ultimately costing more than just a bill. Time, grief, frustration and devastation are some of the repercussions to not be safer than sorry. This is just to stress the importance of proper wound care importance and the only thing that is a good enough reason (if necessary) to get the individual packages of this same item. For the situation in which the bulk, non-sterile item was purchased, there was no prominent threat of the aforementioned consequences. Therefore, this was an excellent purchase and I recommend it to anyone that has a similar situation and wants the BEST option to get the most of your purchase. Hope this helps and the wounds of whomever is using the item also are aided in healing through using them.

These work very well when applying Vashe wound cleanser. The package came crumpled and crushed open however. But not the fault of the seller. Amazon workers did that. Update: quality control is uncertain. My first order was excellent. However the second order was disappointing because the non-woven gauze didn’t absorb the Vashe wound cleanser. It seemed “water repellent”. I stopped using it and kept shopping.

I use these all the time (i have a urostomy) and go through a ton of them, and they're quite good as an addition to my medical supplies. Just make sure you get the non-woven if you need any absorbency cause I made that mistake once and likely won't again. Good price for them, too.

Blepharitis heaven! These are just what I was looking for. Cotton wash clothes (even infant ones) are too rough for my twice daily Blepharitis cleanings. And forget cotton balls and cotton wipes. Too harsh. These pads are soft and absorbent. Thin enough to get into the areas you need to clean but not so thin as to be useless. They don't disintegrate when wet. Your finger doesn't poke through the wipes when you scrub. (I use "Johnson's Head-to-Toe Baby Wash & Shampoo" as my cleaning agent.) THEY ARE: cotton 4x4 squares that are absorbent and soft and don't shed any lint or strings. In fact, there are no strings anywhere. They are 4 ply so if you open them up all the way they would make a big 8x8 square. Perfect for makeup removal and daily facial cleaning. Made in China. THEY ARE NOT: individually wrapped or sterile. They are not a gauze 4x4. They are not sponges.
