It just works. And Apple HomeKit integration is such a nice thing!
Using it to control power to my display and TV - the Apple HomeKit integration now allows me to manipulate them both from my apple watch - super convenient! Configurable glowing ring is surprisingly useful - especially when the outlet is in a dark spot - you can turn the light on with your voice and it is so much easier to plug things in when you can actually see what you are doing. No more flashlight-in-the-mouth crawling under the desk situations. Will definitely check out other products from this company.

Smooth HomeKit Support
Added to “Home” through my iPhone, didn’t need to download their app at all. I used just the default Home app. It took longer to name the outlet and the night light than for iPhone to find and connect to it. Awesome, I wish all of my wireless accessories were this easy to setup.I spent half an hour, maybe more, over the weekend to add two WeMo outlets. Eventually I gave up, returned those and got these instead. The difference is night and day.I’m now able to access the outlet and built-in night light as separate devices. If I download their app, I supposedly can have other features such as energy monitoring, but I haven’t tried those yet. I’m already very happy with the outlet.

Received my pack of two VOCOlinc Smart Wi-Fi Plug Outlet Sockets, downloaded the app and they scanned right into Apple HomeKit, which is exactly why I bought them. I was able to set up direct remote and scheduled rules easily, though that’s more a HomeKit review than about this product. The power monitoring feature is nice, but you’re only able to review the usage data through VOCOlinc’s app, which is kind of a bummer, but not a deal breaker. After using them for several days, one is still operating perfectly, while the second has needed to be manually powered on from the switch for the last two days. Last night, it immediately reconnected and was controllable by HomeKit. Tonight, it turned on manually but did not reconnect to HomeKit or the VOCOlinc app. I found the pricing and HomeKit compatibility to be the most compelling factors in purchasing this product, but when you throw a faulty product into the mix, you lose that first one.

A little fiddly to set up if you have a mixed 5GHz, 2.4 GHz network
I have a network that is mixed between 5 and 2.4 GHz. Setup requires that your device communicating with the smart plug has to be on a 2.4Ghz network. This made it a bit more challenging to set up, but once set up the devices have worked pretty well. One of the plugs is in a bit of a weak area for network coverage in my house and sometimes doesn't respond. The plugs do work really well with Apple's homekit.

Beware - don't buy!!!
Edit from my previous review.It seems the problem was mostly on my side with the restarting of the devices. Somehow my Netgear R7000 router was sending a restart command to the switches. With other routers this problem does not exist. Vocolinc Team was in constant contact to find the problem.Sadly the WiFi problems have gone from bad to worst. I have 6 of these and everytime I restart my WiFi network, these switches switch off and on again. This happened after a recent firmware update. I have my TV and Mac Mini on 2 of these so my devices switch off and on again. Not good since this can break the devices. Vocolinc already pushed a (beta) firmware update to me to test but no resolve. Last time I buy Vocolinc devices.

Worked for three months, kinda, then died
Compared to other brands, the wifi was spotty. Then after three months, it became unresponsive. I did a factory reset and tried to re-pair it with the HomePod, but it wouldn't cooperate. On my fifth attempt, the GFCI popped. That's when I quit and decided to whine here. Save your money.

Works well but loses connection often
The plugs work well however they often stop responding to either the app or google home. Often pushing the on/off button on them will solve the issue, but I’ve also had to unplug the devices to get them to respond sometimes.
